As previously decided in this thread, the final emblem and colors of Lincoln Force will be decided by an open competition followed by a vote. You can enter simply by posting a screenshot here of the emblem that you have made. We are going to try to let every person in the guild have the authority to create an emblem, but for some reason if that cannot happen you can just create your own guild (it is free) and create your entry there. The rules are as follows.

• Enter by posting in this THIS THREAD. Entries in other threads will not be counted
• Limit 2 entries per person. That way you are not forced to just pick one thing that you like, but it prevents people from entering a bunch.
• Can use any emblem that you want
• Must use the GB colors of Black, Red, and White, but which colors are more or less prominent does not matter.
• The Leaders and Officers will go over all entries and narrow it down to the top 5.
• Everyone will get to vote on which of those 5 they like best, with the winner becoming the new emblem
• In addition to seeing your creation strike fear into the hearts of Lincoln Force's enemies, the winner will go home with a (in-game) cash prize of 1 Gold, delivered a some point soon after release. We have to earn it first!

Oh man, its going to take a while to get 25 silver to contribute to that prize. I may just buy it with gems.

My two entries. PeezMachine 1 is a FIERCE EAGLE! PeezMachine 2 should remind you of the logo that flashes before a Quicklook.

Combining @RobbieMac 's previous design with a slight mod by me, we have my favourite so far:

Black stein, white froth, field of red.

After playing around with them, this is definitely my favourite design. The only problem is that it's very generic. My second favourite one is the beer mug.

I hope they release a bomb design, similar to the engineer logo at launch (they had a bunch of placeholders so they will be adding designs in the future).

Can anyone tell if there's a difference between those last several background shapes? I have a hard time believing the UI designer would just leave a bunch of duplicates in unless they're placeholders.

I'm pretty sure they are just placeholders, which means we should run another contest like a month or so after release :P

My two. The first one entertained me for how well it fit, and the second I chose because I like the foreground image.

@RobbieMac: Couldn't make one with white that I liked I'm afraid, the background layer looks dark grey when it's set to white so I just made it black.

@shinboy630: Oh yeah, sure, I definitely want to be recognised once we get a bunch of people at 80 participating in WvW instead of the usual crew of about 15 duders.

But that's all end game. The next thing forward is release, and I don't see any need to rush at that point. Also, no need to make a poll now and make another one only a month later, especially as many have not made entries.

Well the reason I say we separate things is because all the ones made this beta were essentially wasted. Oh well! I guess we will just make a new thread come release so nobody gets confused over who has entered/not entered already.

Just don't have anyone submit their design in-game until we've finalized our pick. Just make your design at the registrar and screen cap it.

We need to find a way to revoke emblem privileges from ourselves. Never again.

I didn't get a chance to play around with the emblem creator over the beta weekend, so I took a stab at making a custom one. Tried to kinda follow the options available from here: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/File:Emblemcreation.jpg

This was just for fun as it would be cool if they let us do truly custom designs.

Found a site that allows you to mess around with the emblem stuff. Might make it easier to make entries for the contest. But as of yet it still doesn't have all the options available so we're still in the same situation as last time.

@Maystack: It's a good place to point people towards, anyway, if we don't want our emblem changing every 5 minutes after release while everyone experiments.

Bumping this thread to remind everyone to make your emblem entries as soon we unlock the dude with influence. With the influence items from the DDE and CE, it should not take long to get. I will update the OP before launch with a few rule tweaks having to do with when entries are due by and whatnot.

Opinion question: Should we stick the new entries in this thread? Or make a new one?

@shinboy630: continue with this thread, there were still emblem layers missing in the last beta build that may or may not have been added.

@shinboy630: This one's already up with a relevant title, so it'll work.

Now that the guild has unlocked the emblem dude, get crackin' on those designs! Rules from the OP still apply.
