This list has been floating around for a while, and a bunch of songs on it have since been confirmed, so I'd bet money that it's true (unlike the last one).

    • 30 Seconds to Mars - “The Kill”
    • 311 - “Beautiful Disaster”
    • Airbourne - “Too Much, Too Young, Too Fast”
    • Allman Brothers - “Ramblin’ Man”
    • Anouk - “Good God”
    • The Answer -”Never Too Late”
    • At the Drive-In - “One Armed Scissor”
    • Beastie Boys Feat. Kerry King - “No Sleep ‘Till Brooklyn”
    • Beatstakes - “Hail to the Freaks”
    • Billy Idol - “Rebel Yell”
    • Black Label Society - “Stillborn”
    • Black Rebel Motorcycle Club – “Weapon of Choice”
    • Blink-182 - “Dammit”
    • Blondie - “One Way or Another”
    • Bob Seger - “Hollywood Nights”
    • Bon Jovi - “Livin’ on a Prayer”
    • Bullet For My Valentine - “Scream Aim Fire”
    • Creedence Clearwater Revival - “Up Around the Bend”
    • Coldplay - “Shiver”
    • Dinosaur Jr. - “Feel the Pain”
    • The Doors - “Love Me Two Times”
    • Dream Theater - “Pull Me Under”
    • The Eagles - “Hotel California”
    • The Enemy - “Aggro”
    • Filter - “Hey Man Nice Shot”
    • Fleetwood Mac - “Go Your Own Way”
    • Foo Fighters - “Everlong”
    • The Guess Who - “American Woman”
    • Interpol - “Obstacle 1"
    • Jane’s Addiction - “Mountain Song”
    • Jimi Hendrix - “The Wind Cries Mary” “Purple Haze (Live)”
    • Joe Satriani - “Satch Boogie
    • Jimmy Eat World - “The Middle”
    • Kent - “Vinternoll 2"
    • Korn - “Freak on a Leash”
    • Lacuna Coil - “Our Truth”
    • Linkin Park - “What I’ve Done”, "In the End"
    • The Living End - “Prisoner of Society”
    • Los Lobos - “La Bamba”
    • Lost Prophets - “Rooftops”
    • Lynyrd Skynyrd - “Sweet Home Alabama”
    • The Mars Volta - “L’Via L’Viaquez”
    • Metallica - “Trapped Under Ice”
    • Michael Jackson Feat. Eddie Van Halen - ”Beat It”
    • Modest Mouse - “Float On”
    • Motörhead - “Overkill”
    • Muse-”Assassin”
    • Negramaro - “Nuvole”
    • Nirvana-”About A Girl”
    • No Doubt - “Spiderwebs”
    • NOFX - “Soul Doubt”
    • Oasis - “Some Might Say”
    • Ozzy Osbourne - “Crazy Train”, “Mr.Crowley”
    • Paramore - “Misery Business”
    • Pat Benetar - “Heartbreaker”
    • The Police - "Demolition Man"
    • Radio Futura - “Escuela de Calor”
    • REM - “The One I Love”
    • Rise Against - “Re-Education Through Labor”
    • Sex Pistols - “Pretty Vacant”
    • Silversun Pickups - “Lazy Eye”
    • Smashing Pumpkins - “Today”
    • Steely Dan - “Do It Again”
    • Steve Miller Band - “The Joker”
    • The Stone Roses - “Love Spreads”
    • Sublime - “Santeria”
    • Survivor - “Eye of the Tiger”
    • System of a Down - “B.Y.O.B.”
    • Ted Nugent - “Stranglehold”
    • Tokio Hotel - “Monsoon”
    • Tool - “Parabola”, “Schism”, “Vicarious”
    • Trust - “Antisocial”
    • Van Halen - Hot For Teacher”
    • Willie Nelson - “On the Road Again”
    • Wings - “Band On the Run”
It's missing a few confirmed songs (Bullet with Butterfly Wings, Light My Fire, and Are You Gonna Go My Way), and when you add those back in, it totals at 83. They specifically said it would have over 85 songs, so there's at least three songs not listed--and going off the rumored stuff, those could be I Can't Drive 55, We're An American Band, and the Low cover (if that even counts). We can also assume that there'll be a Red Hot Chili Peppers song in there somewhere, since they got Chad Smith to shill for the drum set. Plus there's some fairly solid evidence of Def Leppard and Aerosmith--so it's definitely not complete, but it's got truth to it.

It's not as good as the last rumored list, since it's missing a lot of important bands (Guns 'N Roses, Pearl Jam, Iron Maiden, Rage Against the Machine) that I can only hope make it into early DLC. But still, I think it's better than the Rock Band 2 songlist, if only because it has some actual anthems present.

Err... If you have Monsoon for Rock Band 1 you'll be able to carry it over to Rock Band 2.
And Rock Band 2's marketplace probably will have it, it's just the Europeans get it for free.

Honestly, I like RB2's list better. It just has more stuff I like. There isn't a lot here that RB doesn't have that I like, so RB2's list wins (For me at least, everyone else can decide for themselves :P)

At most, I'll get the game only, and use the Les Paul and RB2's drums for GH:WT.

I meant for Guitar Hero World Tour. At least that was the case. Wikipedia now has them included in the regular setlist.

Anyways here's the list according to Wikipedia:

I just want to say, a song not on that list has been confirmed - The Cult's "Love Removal Machine". So, take that as you will.

Ok so you can play GHWT with the Rock Band peripherals, but since i'm living in Europe and Rock Band 1 has just come out, i haven't bought that one yet. And to be honest i think the GHWT guitar and drumkit look way better then the Rock Band ones; so is it possible to play Rock Band 1 & 2 on the GHWT

Also i have the wireless GH3 guitar, i would be able to use that guitar as bass right?
As for your question, I'm going to say yes. You can definitely use the Les Paul, and I'm almost 100% certain you can use GH:WT's drum kit with Rock Band 2 at least, probably RB1 as well.

World Tour showin metal love! I like it. A good bit more "hard" stuff than the last ones, or Rock Band. That's the main reason I probably won't buy Rock Band, is because it's all pop, and that's definitely not what I wanna play in a music game.

Clearly you haven't heard Visions by Abnormality. Or Battery by Metallica, or Souls of Black by Testament, or Colony of Birchmen by Mastodon or Panic Attack by Dream Theater, or Painkiller by Judas Priest...

Metal's all well and good, but the real genre these games need is classic rock. And here we've got Heartbreaker, Hotel California, Sweet Home Alabama, Up Around the Bend, Love Me Two Times, The Joker, and Jimi Motherfucking Hendrix. That's a pretty good spread.

While yes, I agree, GH:WT is so unbalanced for genres. There is basically no Metal, at all. Which I don't really think is fair. We have basically Bullet for my Valentine, Ozzy, and Dream Theater. I guess you could go as far as putting Lacuna Coil and Linkin Park in as well.....but really, thats not really what many metal fans have in mind. Also, the Metallica song (In my opinion at least) is one of the biggest let-downs I have ever seen in a setlist. I'm glad they have all these classics, but please spread the love out a bit. Maybe get some other genres as well besides Metal and Classic Rock, that would also be nice.

yea same here, although they probably should have put in parabole before parabola and instead of schism, 46 and 2 from aenima so that there isnt two lataralus songs, but good none the less.

GH:WT is fine for me, my buddy is picking up RB2 and we can just swap, seeing as how the peripherals both work with each other.

I don't agree with that; Parabola is much better suited for a game like GH:WT then Parabol, as Parabol leads into Parabola and Parabola is more (guitar) heavy.
I also would've liked to see forty-six & 2 in there, since its probably my favorite Tool song but not instead of Schism...
They should just make a GH Tool :P  i mean with songs like; Jambi, Stinkfist, Eulogy, Sober, Swamp song... to many awesome songs to choose from. And they could throw some A Perfect Circle in there, i would buy three copies :o

Well, this list was completely accurate. It was missing Lenny Kravitz, The Cult, and MC5, but everything else is true. Stuff Magazine lied about Bullet With Butterfly Wings, Light My Fire, and In the End. Demolition Man is Sting and also live, as is Sweet Home Alabama. Everything finally is clear.

Also, I totally forgot that Wings was Paul McCartney. Now I'm super excited for Band on the Run.

So... this may be the biggest letdown ever. Rock Band 2 has won the fight in terms of songlist.

Still will buy the game if only for a few tracks and the new guitar.

For Europeans, there is no contest, since RB 2 hasn't even got a EU release date yet. Plus, as RB1 owners, we can still play all of part 2's DLC, including the free stuff that'll get released, I assume, so that's cool.

I'm not sure that's the case. I could've sworn the way you get the 20 free songs is through a code that comes with the RB2 disc. And I've heard of people who got the game early saying thats the case.

Oh snap. That sucks. Oh well, at least we'll still be able to play all the other DLC. But they'd better not take as long to release Rock Band 2 here as they did the first one, or else I'll... I'll...

who am I kidding, I'll still buy it.
