So IGN and G4 have both run stories that first Sony and now Microsoft are both working to make all of the instruments for GH:WT, RB2, and that other Konami game to work together. This gets me excited to maybe see that Wii instruments become cross compatible too. But they haven't announced anything yet, and companies seem to think Wii owners love to buy lots and lots of plastic shit to play their games with, but whatever.

    Come on Wii compatability!!!

What about using GH4 instruments for Rock Band 2? Will that work out too?

I think they've said that starting with GH:WT and RB2, all instruments will be compatible on Wii.  If you bought instruments previously though, you're out of luck.

So now they're talking about GH III guitar controllers working with the Wii version of RB2. You would think that that would mean that the GH:WT guitars would work a well, the touch pad just won't do anything. If this is the case, I just may have to pick up a RB2 disk when they finally hit. As for the drums being cross compatible.... It doesn't really matter to be at the moment as I only have guitars anyway. I had a friend warn me away from the drums, and I'm on a budget anyway.

    WT instruments works on RB.

RB instruments do not work on WT.

Don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure that's right.
