as for me, I'm hoping it is a lot different to the trilogy, although the trilogy was GREAT they where relatively the same, apart from the graphics, the story and locations most of the gameplay was the same you didnt really do anything different, it was still great though
Halo: Reach
Game » consists of 13 releases. Released Sep 14, 2010
A prequel to Halo: Combat Evolved, chronicling one of the most cataclysmic events of the Halo Universe through the eyes of a squad of Spartan super-soldiers known as Noble Team. It is also the last game in the series developed by Bungie.
So what do you think Reach will be like, good or bad?
The only question is how great is it. Super pee myself great or super crap myself greatness......
It will be great and the haters will hate.
I own all the Halo games, but it was only when I purchased Halo 3 that I started playing the multiplayer. I loved it and played it solidly for a couple of years. I didn't own Call of Duty: Modern Warfare but played it a lot and purchased Modern Warfare 2 the day it was released. Since then I haven't been back to the Halo multiplayer. I know MW2 and it's multiplayer has its faults, but Halo seems slow and less frantic in comparison. Even after playing the beta for Reach it felt as if somebody had taken the speed of the multiplayer from MW2 and turned the nob down a few notches.
I could definitely be tempted to get back into Halo though. I bought ODST but found it to be a waste of time, so this, as a full-bodied and complete Halo experience, might pull me back in.
i hope it will be OMGSUPERDUPERORGASMICFUNIAMGONNADIETHISGAMEISDASHIT....
Loved all the HAlo's even ODST, so REACH has to be....EPIC!!!! (it has to be dude!!!)
Is this a serious question? Of course it will be good. If it's anything like the other Halo's, at the very least it'll be great.
if you love halo games it will be good, if you hate them it will be bad. But for me it looks okay, just more halo.
It'll be a Halo game.
I do not like Halo so I won't like this. People that like Halo will like this. It'll be a good game most likely that I will not enjoy because I am not into multiplayer focused games.
" it will be like every halo game bar CE which is a bona fide classic, a solid 7.5-8.0, fun but lazy and derivative. "Exactly! Its not innovative to the series as great sequels like StarCraft II, Super Mario Galaxy 2, and Street Fighter IV are to their series. I hate it when sequels aren't innovative like the ones I've just mentioned
I hope it turns out great. There certainly seems to be a ton packed into the game. I look forward to reading reviews to get a better feel for how the story plays out.

It better have a fucking lengthy campaign. If it's 5 hours on normal like people are saying, then this game will be a disappointment to me. Fuck harder difficulties; I remember when games were lengthy even on normal or easy. It took me at least 10 hours to complete Halo CE on normal, so if Bungie-as they mentioned-wants to bring hope to the Halo CE lovers, it better have a long campaign. HL2, a hyped sequel, had a 15-20 hour long campaign; Doom3, another hyped game, had a 15-20 hour campaign; Halo 3 was an incredibly hyped game, but it only lasted for 5-10 hours on heroic; fucking pathetic.
The rest of the shit will be good, don't get me wrong. But if Bungie wants to keep the game's role as being the most ambitious game ever created, then it better have a decently long campaign and not use other features as an excuse for their laziness.
Good.
How have all these people (and by all these people I mean, like, two) gotten the game this early?

"I hear that's about 6 hours long, only a hour longer than ODST's. Still, there's plenty of replay value to Halo: Reach's campaign. Due to; multiple difficulty settings, skulls, co-op, open ended environments that allow multiple ways of play, theater, and the adaptive A.I. can make every encounter play out differently from another.
Halo: CE did have the longest campaign, but think about it. Most of the indoor levels were copy and paste to artificially pad out the length. Do you remember how painful The Library was?
Very true, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't make it short. If M$ wasn't like the rest of these souless and selfish publishers, I think they would give Bungie a little more time to make Reach an epic masterpiece instead of just an epic Halo game." @Tru3_Blu3 said:

Still, if it's only six hours, then I've lost hope in this damn industry.
" @DoctorOptimist said:Well, you have to look at it from a technical standpoint. Halo: Reach is jam packed with more content than any FPS (In terms of something coming out of the box, mods don't count) at the market, and it's all on one disc. I can't imagine Bungie anything more of what they've added. I hear the single-player is incredibly epic and the best in the series from those who've played it early. Then again, I heard people say that it doesn't convey the feeling of a planetary scale battle. They say that there isn't 40 Covenant enemies on screen as Bungie have promised. They could either be bluffing or telling the truth, because I've heard some say that there are a boat load of Covenant enemies to fight on screen at once too. I'm not sure since I haven't played the game, and I've only seen snippets of gameplay footage from the campaign.Very true, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't make it short. However it is, I just pray that the campaign and the storyline is better than Halo 3.
One thing is for sure though, Marty creates another sublime soundtrack for the series.
" It's going to be Halo. Halo fans will like it, Halo haters will call Halo fans dumb.(Not all of them.) "You know that there's a difference between Halo haters and people who don't like Halo?
Not that I'm a Halo hater, nor do dislike Halo. I think it's a rock solid series, and Reach looks to be the best in the series that could end Bungie's Halo series with a bang. Then 343 Industries will milk every single last drop out of this series. Thanks a lot for butchering the series Microsoft.
