I haven't played that many PS3 games yet, and let alone, installed them, since I just got my own PS3. But I've never had this much fun installing a game before :P Even on the PC (atleast as I can remember). But as I folded the origami I came to realize that whoever did this first... well, let's just say there's a fine line between genius and insanity.
Anyway, here's mine:
Heavy Rain
Game » consists of 12 releases. Released Jan 25, 2010
An interactive thriller from the studio behind Indigo Prophecy, sporting a dark storyline involving the investigation of a mysterious serial killer.
Did you fold the origami?
AGH!!!!!!
(the little historian in me is dieing over the thought of damaging that little piece of paper...yes I am insane thankyou...)
" AGH!!!!!! (the little historian in me is dieing over the thought of damaging that little piece of paper...yes I am insane thankyou...) "I know what you mean, and I hesitated about folding it. But I figured it to be a lot cooler as a figure, than a piece of paper to keep in the blu-ray cover :) I'm going to keep it on the desk.
Gonna get this on my way back from work tonight. The demo got me so excited for it. Well, except that when I played the demo a second time, the hooker was stuck in some hilarious looping glitch. I'll post my real shitty pic.
I always thought it looked like a ninja deathstar. Anyway I don't know if it's out here yet but I'll eventually pick it up when it lowers in price.
Just finished the game. That was fething amazing. Top 5. I don't say that lightly, and there is a hell of alot of competition.
I would say more, but its 3:00 AM and that is one exhausting game.
Well, I folded mine, but then in a fit of immense stupidity unfolded it after I was done. and then I left the install screen.
And now I've forgotten how to fold it.
So... yeah.
I had to redo mine as when I finished the blood drops were not where they were supposed to be. First time making an origami, pretty cool, never need to do that again.
I live in Austin, TX and got it day of release. I pre-ordered on amazon though. Was cheaper then getting it at a store (was about $60 roughly with tax and day of release shipping).
Anyway, ya I folded it and it resides on one of my DVD racks. Best install time waster since the old days when they made cool installers for PC games, and even those werent as interactive. In case no one answered the question "Does it give you instructions?", yes, it gives you the instructions to fold it during the installation and you can do it at your own pace even being able ot go back as well as forward on your own time. Installation was done before I finished the origami as I had to keep going back as there was a few folds I was unsure I was doing right =P
mmm am I the only one who built it wrong? The bloodstains on mine are on the nose and back part...
One of the images to build it was wrong. It had the little square with the lines (to give you an idea of how to hold it) on the bottom when it should of been to the right or left I think. So mine turned out ....different. Doesn't matter, really, but from all the images it looks like everyone else got it right.
I knew it was wrong tho because the next construction image had the blood stains on the sides while mine were top and bottom. I kept going anyway. Turned out looking good regardless.
I folded a post-it note instead. I like the value of being able to say "LIMITED RARE! UNFOLDED PIECE OF PAPER! BUY NOW! "
