Skilled exorcist who lived during the Heian period in Japan. During his life time, he served the Emperor and the Heian government. He was also the founder of the Tsuchimikado clan. From a young age, he became well verse in Yin-Yang divination and astrology by Yin-Yang Masters: Kamo no Tadayuki and Kamo no Yasunori (a father-son team). After his death, the Emperor built a shrine for Abe no Seimei which is located in modern Kyoto. Abe no Seimei was also featured in several fictional works.
A towering warrior monk who once stood guard over the Gojō Bridge in Kyoto. He most notably served under Minamoto no Yoshitsune, a renowned general of the Minamoto clan during the Heian era.
The mysterious protagonist of the classic Japanese folktale "The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter". She was found inside the stalk of a bamboo plant and raised by an elderly farmer, though she was originally born in Tsuki-no-Miyako, the capital of the moon.

A renowned samurai of the Heian era who led an insurrection against the Kyoto regime. He achieved folk hero status years after his death and was subsequently deified.
A renowned scholar and poet of the Heian era whose death in exile was punctuated by a tumultuous storm, plauge, and famine, thought to be the product of Michizane's raging spirit. He was later deified as Tenjin, the lord of scholarship.
Raikoh Minamoto is a demon hunter and the lead protaganist of the Otogi series. His character is based off Minamoto no Yorimitsu.
A renowned female samurai of the Heian era. She was thought to have fought in the Genpei War alongside Minamoto no Yoshinaka.
Yoshitsune Minamoto was an officer of the Minamoto clan during the tail end of Japan's Heian era. He has since become a popular figure in folklore and other historical and fictional works.
