As it seems paul walker has been apparently cast as agent 47 for a 2nd hitman movie, which will apparently be a "reboot"

One minute it's Bruce Willis intimidating a bunch of goons and in the next scene it's suddenly Jet Li in the same outfit, same hair cut, etc. fighting them all.

It wasn't an action movie, but The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus did this because of the death of the lead actor. The same character was played by Heath Ledger, Johnny Depp, Colin Farrel, and Jude Law.

I guess it makes a certain sort of weird sense. If you're going to hire someone to play an emotionless character, just cast a guy who can't act emotional.

What a great point. Since Walker doesn't really need to act at all he might be able to pull it off somehow, as long as the script only gives him like two pages of lines..... Okay let's be real, maybe one page would be safe, page and a half tops.

I would not be adverse to them retconning or somehow making the character mute. That's probably the best solution all around.

@Wampa1: Hot damn, now you're really on to something! And maybe all the corpses in those police dramas. No, wait, they might require him to look scared or in pain or something. Hmmm. Wait, I've got it. If they ever make a movie version of Log from Ren and Stimpy, he's perfect for the role.

They should reboot it for every movie and always have some other B-List actor playing hitman. 
 
That's about the only thing that I would find interesting because they really seem to want to ignore that hitman 47 doesn't look like any of these actors they keep choosing to play him. 
 
Also, the original movie was uninspired and generic. I don't hope this is more of the same, but it probably will be.

I think people are sad because the Hitman movie, warts and all, kind of hit a high-water mark for video-game inspired movies. Trying to think of another recent video game movie that wasn't patently awful and nothing comes to mind.
