Periwinkle Foreshadow
I don't care what any haters out there may have to say about this particular game (actually, come to think of it, I don't care what any haters out there have to say about ANYTHING, period); Indigo Prophecy was astoundingly fun and original. Whatever flaws the game had were certainly picked apart and discarded by the time Heavy Rain came around.
I know that these games are pretty much worthless when it comes to replay value. And I know that they can't really offer anything more than what's already there. The short running time, the repetitive QTEs...what you see is what you get. But what you get and see isn't all that bad. Trying something new is what the industry needs more of, anyway, and while they didn't forge a masterpiece, it was still loads of fun to play. A little Theory of a Deadman soundtrack never hurt anybody, either.
Whether you're a film fan, a video game fan, or both, I can recommend this. If you hate films and video games, though, then you're clearly reading reviews on the wrong site. What are you even doing here? Go play with your kids. Spend some time with the family. Read a book. Have some gelato, for God's sake. Do anything other than wallow in things you dislike.
