Chair Entertainment and Epic Games have been talking up Infinity Blade's multiplayer mode for a while now, but as of right now (well, last night), you finally have a chance to play it. The update's been dubbed Infinity Blade: Arena, and like the previous update for this impressive iOS release, it doesn't cost anything.

Infinity Blade: Arena isn't just multiplayer, though. The update also brings Survivor Mode, which does pretty much exactly what you'd expect, a plethora of new items and weapons (including some seasonal ones), Facebook support to share your customized character with friends and some new achievements.

The companies are also promising "some new surprises" alongside the update, which will likely take the Internet all of an hour to figure out.

Just got an iphone last week and this too. Loving it, great news.

I'm guessing this is the news Brad was probably referring to on the bombcast. Sounds alright.

Please tell me Giant Bomb isn't going to start covering iphone shit now. Tested has already been destroyed by doing nothing but iPhone content, I don't want GB to go the same way.

Dang I was hoping now that download titles were less of a bad word in the gaming industry Chair would be putting manpower into another Shadow Complex game...  Losing out to iOS games sucks.

Chair, stop with this iOS foolishness and make Shadow Complex 2 already!!!

I like Infinity Blade a lot. It's probably the best game I've played while sitting on a toilet. Well, that or Peggle.

I just bought it... It crashes every 3 minutes. Gonna try restarting and reinstalling it to my iPad.

sounds like a pretty substantial and solid update.

@Enigma777: It's not and that's a good thing. I don't want more developers to keep making franchises, I want them to try other things and do other projects.

Don't get me wrong, I liked Shadow Complex but Infinity Blade is also a really good game by Chair.

The Multiplayer is quite unfair... I mean, when you play as the big brutish monsters, you're slow as all feck. There's no way you'd be able to win the very first round as a monster. Unless your rival is 6-months old... Maybe.
