Jason Citron was part of the 2-man development team behind the hugely successful iPhone puzzle title, Aurora Feint. Jason and Danielle Cassley both developed and released the game as one of the first launch titles when the iTunes App Store went live on July 10, 2008. The high production value and addictive nature of Aurora Feint, paired with the game being 100% free, rocketed the game to #1 on the App Store, and garnered a lot of attention for the two developers.
During the development of Aurora Feint II, Jason brainstormed the social gaming platform that is now known as OpenFeint. With almost 20 million users between iPod Touches and iPhones worldwide, and thousands of free and paid developers using the platform, OpenFeint is the largest social gaming network for the iDevices, and OpenFeint has become a mult-million dollar company in course of just 1-2 years.
Jason is still very involved and committed to supporting the indie game developer community that he rooted from.
