During his investigation he stumbled across some sketches drawn by Lord Boleskine. In 1834, this British scientist studied the passing of Halley's comet in the small village of Illsmouth, only to come home a raving lunatic. Without doubt, John T. Parker decides to uncover the truth behind this bizarre happening, and goes personally to Illsmouth. In the alpha versions of the game he was named John T. Carter. Evidence of this we can see in the game over screen and on some box covers, where the team forgot to replace the name.
