    Julkalendern, Swedish for "the Advent Calender" is an annual TV show on Swedish national public broadcaster SVT, that has been running since 1960, and had it's current name since 1971. Since the late 80's, many of the shows have had tie-in video games.

    Most of the video game adaptions have been developed and published by PAN Vision.

    They were usually intended to be played alongside with the TV show, which airs daily from the 1st to the 24th of December every year, and during the show a code or password would be shown that players could input into the game to access bonus content. Some of the shows were based on past franchises (or literature), or became franchises on their own, particularly the Mysteriet på Greveholm series.

    Since 2005, most of the games have been browser based, rather than retail PC or console releases.
