    Overview

Karukozaka High School is the primary setting of Shin Megami Tensei: if.... It is an average Japanese high school attended by the protagonist and his/her friends until the day that a transfer student named Hazama performs a summoning ritual in the school's gymnasium. When the ritual is complete, the school is pulled into a demonic realm, and the campus is linked to five worlds inspired by five of the seven deadly sins. The school is also overrun with demons, throwing the students and faculty into a fight for survival as Hazama asserts himself as the realm's new ruler.

    Persona 2: Innocent Sin

Karukozaka High School is revisited in the PSP remake of Persona 2: Innocent Sin as the setting of a special side quest presented by Nameless. Almost all of the characters that appear in Karukozaka High are brand new and did not appear in if..., as it has been years since if... took place and the students involved have all graduated. The only returning character during this quest is Mr. Otsuki, one of the school's teachers. At the center of the side quest is Haruo Weyland, a first-year student and demon summoner stealing the Personae of his fellow students as they watch him practice his music.
