They released another patch recently which reduces control lag even further.  I never had a problem with the controls personally and I don't feel much of a difference.  Just a note you have to toggle the new controls in the settings menus.Anyways I downloaded the newest map pack.  The beach map is really amazing and a lot of fun but the other one I don't find so impressive and I don't like it so much. "

Do people actually play on them? and does Resistence 2 have map packs? I have to decide between the two for my first shooter (I can get a couple games but id rather have a few diffrent genre's)

yeah they do cost money, but don't worry if you don't feel like putting out about 10 bucks (they will most likely combine them) for four maps, you can play the other original maps, which are still the most popular, by far. 

Hmmmm.. It really depends on your taste in shooters. Both are great games, and you'll get a lot more out of Resistance 2- with the 8 player co-op and the deep (and very well featured) online.

Killzone 2's multiplayer is tight, and has excellent maps.
