    This palace is dedicated to the Shokan race and their once proud King, Goro, who is interred beneath the lava.

    Concept

    Ed Boon describes the inspiration for the Palace as such: "I've never been to a palace, let alone a Goth one as it's been described to me. So I conjured up some memories of when I was very young and we visited some castles. I tried to imagine all of the things that may have went on in those dark cold rooms so long ago. This is what inspired the dementia for the Kuatan Palace."
