Lemmings 3D

Lemmings have started popping out of floppy disk drives and have turned 3D; it's now your job to help these newly three-dimensionalised creatures reach the end of 100 puzzling levels.

Concepts

Attract Mode

A mode in which a game will play a gameplay demonstration video as a means to entice players into playing the game.
Climbing

Climbing is a common tradition in games, particularly platformers. There is often a particular type of surface that can be climbed, and it has a recognizably different look than other surfaces in the game. Climbing ladders or stairs doesn't count.
Clowns

Attitudes towards the Clown vary from person to person. Some find entertainment and humor, others feel really creeped out by their overly flamboyant nature. Ultimately, games tend to take the path of a more horrific presentation to stimulate the atmosphere of a particular setting.
Cutscene

A non-interactive sequence within a game most often used for plot advancement.
Death

The main line of distinction between victory or failure in video games, death is the process of a biological being ceasing to be alive.
Digging

Digging is a strategic mechanic of many games. Digging allows the ability to unearth valuables and strategize pathways.
Drowning

Drowning in games occurs when a being (not suited to be in water) runs out of oxygen, time, power, or barely even touches the water surface. Further complicated by the local sea-life that can knock the air out of you, should you get close.

Escaping Imprisonment

When the main character at some point has to escape from a confined area, be it a dungeon, a prison cell or a penal colony.
Exit Door

A door that players must go through to exit the level
Explosion

A powerful release of energy. This energy is usually expelled in all directions very quickly, typically giving off orange or red flames.
First-Person Perspective

First-Person is a vantage point that attempts to simulate looking through a game character's eyes. It is most commonly found in First-Person Shooters and Racing Games, and to a lesser extent in other genres, such as RPGs and 3D Platformers.
Food-Themed Stage

A type of stage themed around, or made entirely out of, food.
Game Reference

The concept of a game referencing another game through mockery, parody or even directly. A game reference to the same franchise does not count.
Ice

Frozen water. Ice can be slippery and it can be fun for ice skating.
Ice Stage

A common type of stage featured in many games. Slippery ice, avalanches, and freezing water are some of the unpleasantries to be had when visiting these cold arctic regions.
Instant Replay

Also known as "Show-Me-What-Just-Happened Mode", an Instant Replay is a gameplay element typically associated with Sports games, and widely made popular with the Madden Franchise. Instant Replay allows players to go back and view gameplay footage from varying points of view.
Juggling

This is a concept in fighting or other action games of attacking an enemy in order to keep the enemy in the air, unable to fight back. This is also a tactic in tower defense games of keeping the enemy on the battlefield longer by manipulating towers.
Maps

A game where you eventually receive a map of an area. Like in Metroid Prime you have map download stations to get a map outline of the area. This is the same concept in the exploring Castlevania games.
Maze

Ever since Pac-Man, games have had us navigating mazes.
Mining

The extraction of valuable minerals from the earth.
Multiple Protagonists

Sometimes one playable character just isn't enough.
Parody

A game or character that pokes gentle fun at an existing work of entertainment by being very similar to that work and exaggerating its features.
Password

Passwords are codes used to save a player's progress, primarily during the 8-bit era and, to a lesser extent, the 16-bit era.
PlayStation Mouse Support

Games that could be controlled via the PS1 mouse.
Polygonal 3D

Who needs 2D when we've got 3D? 3D, or 3 dimensions, is what we're used to seeing in almost every game these days, letting us do all sorts of awesome stuff like run in circles!

Product placement is the act of using branded products in high visibility settings inside movies and games in exchange for special consideration, financial purchases or otherwise. In recent years, it has become more apparent.

Puzzle platformers are platform games where the key aspect involves solving riddles and puzzles, rather than combat.
Puzzles

Puzzles may need to be solved before the player can progress to the next section of the game. Often it may not be clear to players exactly what the puzzle is, or whether the an in-game items needs to be attained before it is even possible to solve it.
