    History

    When the Dark Dragon Medeus conquered Archanea, he used the forested lands south of Dolhr as a holding grounds for the human slaves. For years, these slaves toiled under harsh working conditions, battling for their lives while their dragon masters ruled over the land. One day however, one youth started a rebellion and used the feral wyverns as a steed to ride against his masters. After the hero Anri defeated Medeus, the people of the south banded together and formed the Kingdom of Macedon using the wyvern as their symbol.

    Leader of the slaves being held in Macedon, he formed a rebellion against the Dolhr Empire. Iote tamed the wild wyverns that were native to the Macedon region, and using them, he formed a band of airborne knights capable of fighting off the Dolhr army. After the end of the war, the people continued to support Iote, and made him the first king of Macedon.

    Osmond

    The former king of Macedon, father to Michalis, Minerava, and Maria. A just king, he believed in the bond between Macedon and Archanea, even when Dolhr started moving against his kingdom, he held on to the hope that Archanea would come to defend them. When it became obvious that help would not come, Osmond was murdered by his own son, and alliance with Dolhr was formed against Archanea.

    Michalis

    The ambitious prince of Macedon, he murdered his own father to seize the throne. During the War of Shadows, Michalis allied himself with Medeus, and sent his army to annhilate the Aurelis army. After Aurelis was liberated, he sent his entire army back to Macedon, and battled the Archanean League in his own nation. After the war, Michalis left the country, and briefly traveled with the dancer Feena. In the War of Heroes, he stole the Starlight tome from Gharnef, and later accompanied Prince Marth and his sister Minerva to the final showdown with Medeus.

    Minerva

    The first princess of Macedon, she looks up to her brother as a hero. At the start of the War of Shadows, Minerva was given the task of conquering Aurelis, as leader of the Macedon army. When a group of soldier deserted the army and began attacking the villagers, Minerva teamed up with Prince Hardin of Aurelis to save the people. As the war dragged on, Minerva lost confidence in her brothers actions, and joined the Archanean League. After the war, Minerva became queen of Macedon, but was later overthrown in a coup led by ambitious generals. After the War of Heroes, Minerva left the royal house and became a staff member of Lena's orphanage.

    Maria

    The second princess of Macedon, she cares deeply for her entire family. At the start of the War of Shadows, Maria offered herself as a hostage to the Grust army, to ensure cooperation between the allied nations. As the war went on, Prince Marth and the Archanean League traveled to where she was being held, and freed her from imprisonment. After the war, she found the severly wounded Michalis, and nursed him back to health. During the War of Heroes, Maria was kidnapped by Gharnef as a sacrifice for Medeus, and was saved by Michalis and Minerva. After the war, she became a staff member at Lena's orphanage.

    A priestess from Macedon, she fled the country when Michalis had forced her to marry him. At the start of the War of Shadows, Lena befriend Rickard and helped him rob the Millennium Palace in order to give the money to the suffering populace. When they were captured, she was able to convince Princess Nyna and General Camus to free them, and were able to complete their mission. Later on, she was captured by the Soothsire Bandits, but was freed by the thief Julian, and then joined the Archanean League. In the War of Heroes, she was kidnapped by Gharnef as a sacrifice for Medeus, but was rescued by Julian once again. After the war, she worked at an orphanage caring for children effected by the war.

    Matthis

    Lena's lazy brother and a minor noble from Macedon. In the War of Shadows, Matthis was conscripted into the Macedon army as punishment for his sister running away from Michalis. As a part of the expedition force to Aurelis, Matthis saw some action, but was stationed in the relatively peaceful southern half of the country. When Lena and the Archanean League arrived in southern Aurelis, Matthis quickly switched sides, and became a powerful fighter in the army. Later on in the War of Heroes, he once against forced to fight, but this time as a member of the rebel army. When Julian talked to Matthis he joined the Altean army and together they set out to find Lena.

    Palla

    The eldest of the pegasus sisters, this gentle warrior is extremely loyal to Minerva. As leader of the Whitewings, Palla accompanied Minerva during the invasion of Aurelis, working as a powerful warrior against the Aurelian cavalry. During the War of Shadows, she joined the Archanean League after Maria was rescued from confinement in Deil Castle. After the war, she traveled to Valencia and joined Cellica's army when her sister Est was captured by Geyse's pirates. In the War of Heroes, she joined the Altean army to help save Queen Minerva from the rebel army.

    The middle sibling of the pegasus sisters, this steadfast warrior is extremely loyal to Minerva. As a member of the Whitewings, Catria accompanied Minerva during the invasion of Aurelis, but she also helped Prince Hardin defeat the Macedonian deserters. During the War of Shadows, she joined the Archanean League after Maria was rescued from confinement in Deil Castle. After the war, she traveled to Valencia and joined Cellica's army when her sister Est was captured by Geyse's pirates. In the War of Heroes, she joined the Altean army to help save Queen Minerva from the rebel army.

    Est

    The youngest of the pegasus sisters, this relaxed warrior is extremely loyal to Minerva. As a member of the Whitewings, Est accompanied Minerva during the invasion of Aurelis, but she also helped Prince Hardin defeat the Macedonian deserters. During the War of Shadows, she joined the Archanean League at the Bridge of Chiasmir, bringing the powerful Mercurius sword with her. After the war, she was captured by Geyse's pirates, but was ultimately saved by Cellica and her sisters. In the War of Heroes, she had a romantic relationship with the Altean Palading Abel, and joined the Altean army when they rescued her from capture at Altea Caste.

    Ymir

    A warrior from Macedon, his monstrous appearance forced him to leave his home and move to Grust. In the War of Shadows, Ymir found a village where people were able to accept him for who he was and look beyond his outward appearance. When General Larissa took the villagers as hostages, Ymir fought against them and was able to keep the army at bay. When Prince Marth showed him that he meant not harm to the villagers, Ymir joined the army as thanks for saving the people. In the War of Heroes, he joined with Prince Marth once again, this time when battling the forces of Gharnef in the Dragon's Dale.

    Frost

    A bishop from Macedon, he deeply cares about the well being of his family. At the start of the War of Shadows, Frost worked as a healer for Generl Ruben, but when the general began attacking the people, he could no longer support the general. When Princess Minerva and Prince Hardin engaged Ruben in battle, Frost joined forces with Minerva, ensuring the safety of his family from retaliation. During the War of Heroes, Frost joined with the Altean army when they battled with the forces of Gra at the Gra Bastion.

    Warren

    A hunter from Macedon, he has a long history with Catria. As a hunter, Warren did not participate in the War of Shadows, as he did not like the idea of the army and discipline. This philosophy changed a few years later when General Ryuke was hiring soldiers for his rebel army. Enticed with the promise of gold, Warren joined with the rebels and became a powerful archer in their ranks. When the Altean army arrived, Warren was convinced to switch sides by his life long friend Catria. After the war, he returned to Macedon and continued his life as a hunter.

    Ryuke

    The leader of the rebel army which overthrows Queen Minerva during the War of Heroes. An overly ambitious general, he was able to sense weakness in the kindhearted Minerva, and used the opportunity to become king. When King Michalis returned from exile, Ryuke quickly lost courage and expected to have to fight Michalis. Michalis on the other hand did not want to fight, and instead he took Minerva, and left Ryuke to be killed by the Altean army.

    Rumel

    A knight loyal to General Ryuke, he was a staunch supporter of the rebellion. During the War of Heroes, Rumel commanded the forces at a fortress in southern Macedon. Using his powerful Ridersbane lance, Rumel believed himself to be invincible against the cavalry heavy Altean army. Despite his bravado, Rumel was no match for the Altean archers, and was killed in battle with the Alteans.

    Ruben

    A general working as part of the Macedon invasion force against Aurelis. When he realized that he could make more money robbing the people than serving in the army, Ruben took his soldiers to an old fortress and began pillaging the near by towns. When the bishop Frost threatened to expose Ruben, Ruben used Frost's family as leverage, and convinced the bishop to stay quiet. Ruben's tyranny did not last long however, soon Princess Minerva and Prince Hardin arrived to stop him, and thus the deserters were defeated.

    Orridyon

    A loyal knight of Macedon, he serves King Michalis faithfully. A high ranking member of the Macedon army, Orridyon was greatest warrior in the land after Michalis and Minerva. As a senior knight, Orridyon was not part of the Macedon invasion, but was instead given the task of protecting the motherland from the Archanean League. After Grust was defeated by the league, the army engaged Orridyon in Macedon. Orridyon fought valiantly, but the tremendous momentum of the league had overcome his forces, and Orridyon was killed in battle.

    Emereus

    A general from Macedon, he was second in command of the invasion force against Aurelis. A rather incompetent soldier, Emereus was left in charge of the Macedon army when Princess Minerva was away. When Prince Marth and Prince Hardin rendezvoused in Aurelis, Emereus ordered his soldiers to hold off Archanean League while he escaped to Macedon with treasure. The Macedon soldiers proved to be no match for the league, and Emereus died cursing the incompetence of his soldiers.

    Merach

    A loyal knight of Macedon, he was a part of General Emereus's army. In the War of Shadows, Merach was given the task of defending the lands surrounding Aurelis Castle, and defeating Prince Hardin and his army. When Prince Marth and the Altean army arrived in Aurelis, Merach fought against them and Aurelis Knights. Merach was unusual compared to his fellow male knights as he had genuine loyalty to Minerva, and died protecting her honour.

    Bentheon

    A general from Macedon who took part in the invasion of Aurelis. Bentheon was stationed in southern Aurelis, and served as commander to the lazy Lord Matthis. When he found out that the Altean army was in his territory he jumped on the chance of being the man to defeat Prince Marth. Despite his vigor, he proved to be no match for the Altean army, and his death paved the way for the Archanean League to be formed.

    Guile

    A pirate operating out of Macedon, he desires gold and women. When Macedon was thrown into chaos during General Ryuke's coup during the War of Heroes, Guile took this opportunity to pillage the villages along the Macedon coast. His plan was decent, but he didn't take the Altean army arriving to rescue the heirs of the Grust throne into account. Guile and his men were shortly defeated by Prince Marth and his army after a short burst of piracy.
