Anthropomorphism is the concept of an object, concept or character that has human qualities or traits, such as speech, a level of intelligence similar or higher than a human's and self consciousness. "Anthro" means "of human" and related to the concept of humanity.
Artificial Intelligence, or AI, commonly refers to the programmed behaviors of NPCs in a game, whether it's the fact that a soldier takes cover behind a wall in Gears of War, or that townspeople cheer upon your arrival to their village in Fable.
Games that, in some way, react to the player's birthday; this can range from simply displaying a 'happy birthday' message to conferring certain gameplay benefits.
Bloopers are squid-like creatures that are usually white. They are usually seen underwater and attack enemies by chasing them and trying to catch them.
A board game is a game played on a mostly-static surface using markers or chits to indicate player progress. Many video game board games are based on tabletop games (Catan, Monopoly), but some, like Mario Party and Culdcept, are original designs that use board game design as a starting point.

Currency has all forms in video games. It is used to buy characters, vehicles, weapons, and more.

A line that signals the start or the end of the race. Even though it is used for racing, it could mean any type of racing game.
A type of stage themed around, or made entirely out of, food - often confectionery.
These spooky entities are the spirits of the dead, returned from beyond their graves for generally sinister purposes. There's generally about even odds whether a particular ghost will be helpful or malevolent towards the living, but some ghosts just want to be left alone entirely.
Goombas are common enemies in the Mario games.
The ground pound is a move where a person in midair somehow makes themselves strike the ground with more force than if they had merely landed. Popularly known as the "butt stomp" due to Super Mario 64's variant, which appeared as though Mario was attacking foes with his rear end.
