An Unwinnable State occurs either due to a glitch or by designer choice, when the player's actions make it so that the game can no longer be completed. However, the game continues as though it is still possible to finish and win.

Someone who illegally seizes and holds the property of another, e.g the sovereignity of a country. This is mostly done by close advisors or greedy relatives.
A trope commonly seen in RPGs, where a character in the player's party disbands without warning during a story event. This often means that the character takes their currently equipped items with them.
Vestigial items may have had a use at one point in time, but now occupy a permanent inventory space and cannot be removed due to their special status.

Vultures are large scavenging birds. They are not highly regarded by humans.
Many of the games released for the Nintendo Wii take 'advantage' of the controls available by forcing the player to shake or 'waggle' the Wii remote and/or nunchuck. Waggling generally does not require skill on the part of the player; only shaking movements.
A biological entity with the innate ability to control the behavior and direction of water using little to no physical contact.
A type of attack that generates a wave of energy that gradually expands until it either hit its target or fades away.
An arcade/minigame where the objective is to force popping moles back into their holes by hitting them on the head with a mallet. Games with similar elements of gameplay go here.
An audio signal that contains noise at the same level at all frequencies. Appears on TV screens and video transmissions as static "snow".
These giant stone creatures are constantly trying to squish Mario under their own weight.
Wigglers are enemies that look like caterpillars. They first appeared in Super Mario World, where if Mario, Luigi, or Yoshi jumped on it, the Wiggler would turn red and start running fast, as well as being able to move in the character's direction.
A viewable map that displays the entire game world. The map also usually shows the player's location in the world.
These aliens swear allegiance to Sir Grodus and Lord Crump. Their signature move is their X greeting.
