Every video I've seen of Thor has made me really ponder his place in the game... until now! If you're impatient you can skip to about 2:03 to get to the juicy bits. Note the life bars.
In past Vs. games I've always felt like the brawlers were a big waste of space. With the crazy amounts of mobility that a majority of the characters have, getting in close enough to actually do damage with a Juggernaut or a Zangief has always been a painful uphill battle. Even if you did manage to get in, you never got enough damage to justify the effort.
But now, just... wow. I know that he activated KFC and it was against Zero who has lower health than most characters. Even with all those things in mind, that amount of damage is nothing to sneeze at. With the right assist support to help Thor create an opening, he actually might turn out to be viable on point and, depending on how useful his assists are, might also make a terrific anchor.
Capcom just keeps amazing me with the amount of seemingly viable playstyles they're incorporating into MvC3. Hopefully we won't discover that it's brokenly easy to keep Thor out once we really get our hands on the game.
