This forum has been a huge bummer leading up to the launch so far, with threads talking about how this game is the "end of Bioware" and how EA is destroying the industry... Thankfully I've stayed away from any spoilers, and frankly I'm still really looking forward to this game. Am I the only one on this forum, or is everyone a cynic now?
Mass Effect 3
Game » consists of 19 releases. Released Mar 06, 2012
When Earth begins to fall in an ancient cycle of destruction, Commander Shepard must unite the forces of the galaxy to stop the Reapers in the final chapter of the original Mass Effect trilogy.
I'm actually looking forward to ME3
I am also looking forward to the game. It will be good, despite the massive bemoaning that has been pervading this forum of late.
The more people liked the previous games in a series the more they bitch about the new ones. I can't wait for ME3.
I am certainly excited as well. Not excited enough to get it day 1 (other games I want to buy to be honest) but I will certainly grab it cheaper down the line like I did for the other 2 games. They seem to drop in price rather fast, I grabbed ME2 brand new with my code and everything for $10.
Very excited, but I've had (and have) trouble adjusting to the way ME2 went and ME3 is going.
But I still got the CE ordered and I'm...well...fucking hyped.
Over the past two weeks all of my free time has gone to going back to Mass Effect 1 and 2 since my original playthroughs are gone. March 6th can't come soon enough!
I think the fact that I have a pre-order in on Amazon(something I've never done before) is making the wait seem harder. I've got plenty of other stuff to do at the moment(Amalur, Asura's Wrath, just bought Darksiders on PSN, etc.), but I still keep thinking about ME3 pretty frequently.
I think everyone is excited for the game, I just think some people are worried about what it could be as they care about the franchise and studio so much.
I know what ya mean. With any popular series comes a wave of hatred but I for one am extremely pumped to play it. It will be my first special edition (or collectors edition...whatever) that I have bought. Very glad I pre-ordered it in December.
CE pre-ordered, cannot wait to play this game. We should all hook up somehow to play some sweet co-op multiplayer!
While I am annoyed by the sheer amount of DLC available and the methods one must take to acquire some of it, I think the game itself will be great and one hell of a ride. I'm very much looking forward to it. I just don't see how it's not going to be good.
I went ahead and pre-ordered a copy on Amazon earlier this week. I've dumped a lot of time in the multiplayer demo.

YES YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE
I always want to say that.
I just finished my 'perfect' playthrough in preparation for ME3 and preordered earlier today. (though unfortunately I had to destroy the Geth because I didn't have enough renegade to break up Legion and Tali without doing so. Bummer) Just gotta do Overlord and Shadow Broker on that save, then I'll be set.
I'm definitely ready for ME3 to come out. As others have pointed out, people where pretty down on ME2 before it came out because they felt Bioware "dumbed it down" too much when in fact it was just because those people had nostalgia for ME1 (BTW, I tried playing ME1 again recently and found it close to unplayable after playing a bunch of ME2). The ME3 demo got my excited about the game and really should have silenced those who have said that they have "dumbed it down" even further.

Cant wait for the game ... March 6 what is taking you so long? D:
At least you don't have to wait til March 9th!
Congratulations. So am I. There are just a small, but very vocal, group of people who have decided that Bioware is the devil and that Mass Effect 3 is his work.
Looks better than ME2. But I wish it was a little more like ME1. I'll get it eventually, maybe black friday. I'm playing through ME2 right now for the second time and I'd really not liking the combat. From what I've played in the demo, other than the melee stuff, the shooting and abilities seem better.
I want to see how it all plays out. Mass Effect 2 was probably the most improved sequel in a franchise since the Assassin's Creed games and I really want this game to be good. I'm interested in the tweaks made to the leveling system and how weapon upgrading is going to be handled. I just hope they stick with the improvements made in Mass Effect 2 and build on that. Getting rid of the shit inventory and leveling system from Mass Effect 1 was brilliant and honestly saved the franchise.
Regardless, this is make or break time for Bioware's reputation. If they screw this game up and disappoint millions of fans, gamers are not going to buy the critical new IP they've probably working on right now. They're on thin ice as is for how lousy Dragon Age 2 turned out.
I'm still looking forward to it, but damn....my Xbox started going crazy today, and now it's giving me the red lights. It's not red ringing every single time I turn it on. The times it doesn't red ring it either locks up, or makes this crazy static noise, the screen goes all weird, then locks up. Either way, I'm screwed really. Pretty sure this thing is out of warranty. Hopefully I still get to play Mass Effect when my pre-order shows up, though. I'm going to try and borrow my cousin's Xbox for a bit, while I try and get some money for a new one, I guess. I had just bought a bigger hard drive for it a couple months ago, too. This really sucks.
Sorry for my small rant.
Edit: Well....it's finally started red ringing every time I turn it on.
I accidentally made the mistake of reading a thread were people were being really negative towards Mass Effect and Bioware, and I kind of regret that. I think I might need to stop reading any threads about Mass Effect and Bioware until after I've finished the game. I absolutely cannot wait until the 6th. This is definitely one of my most anticipated games ever.
