I don't know why, but I'm tempted to buy this just to have it. Does it come with the dlc?
I need to know this as well especially for the PS3 version.
Good to see that Playstation owners finally get a chance to play the best game (in my opinion) of the Mass Effect series.
No wii u version is hilarious. Also since ps3 version is coming later I guess ms had a times exclusive.
@Vonocourt: Yup.
@BigDaddy81: I agree. I played the first on PC and the rest on PS3 and hands down the first one is the greatest.

So does that mean Mass Effect 1 is actually going to be available on the PS3?
Apparently, YES:
Watch them not put any of the DLC on the discs, just to be dicks.
This is actually a really cool thing for them to do, but I can't say I really feel like spending that much money on stuff I already have. Although I have yet to buy ME3, so... hmm...
No! You won't trick me, Mr. Marketing Man! I buy these games way after they come out for a reason!

Even though I have all three collectors editions, I kind of want this.
I've been expecting you.
Tell you what, popping the dialogue and the maps from ME1 into the ME3 combat engine would be fucking fun.
I don't know how EA managed to get Mass Effect on PS3, but kudos. (I'm assuming lots and lots of monies to Microsoft)
About damn time. I wonder if the term MS gave EA about the first Mass Effect was that it can't come out for the PS3 after all three games were out. If so smart on them.
Even though I played all three games I kinda want this pack but only for the sake of having it. Might pick it up down the road when it's $20.

best story but worst 'game' imo
Worst playing, but mechanically most interesting.
hmmm, i didn't think the loot system or RPG 'point' system added anything to the experiance and was pleased they stripped it out.
putting 1 point into this and 1 point into that never really seemed to make any difference.
still a fantastic game though... but i think all 3 are.

I'd buy the collection if they did this. The gameplay mechanics (at least the combat) in ME1 feel very dated now, to say the least.
I wouldn't mind buying this, just to own them all on the PC. But after ME3, I really have no desire to revisit the series.

I have been waiting for this for a long, long time.
Fuck yeah I'm buying it now. Well, pre-ordering. If they even take pre-orders yet.

That' pretty awesome I would like to know if ME2 and ME3 have the DLC so far released if not then buying ME1 from the store seems like the thing to do ... or wait until the trilogy gets cheaper options!
I'm excited for this. I only want to buy the first Mass Effect since I already have two and three. I wonder if the carryover save stuff will or has been fixed. The trilogy announcement didn't say if it will include previously released DLC. But needed to tell people multiples times about the over 75 hours of game play, winning 300 awards and the premium foil box! I'm not sure how I feel about the WiiU owners who have to pay $60 for ME3 alone and it comes out the week after the trilogy.

at last mass effect 1 for the ps3!
Because PS3 owners were missing out on the stupid inventory system coupled with a cumbersome upgrade system, collect quests that went no where, and driving the Mako that handled like your grandfather's station wagon through an absurd obsticle course?
I probably will checkout the collection I never got a chance to play ME3. But after hearing the incredible amount of Backlash about the ending. I wasn't to excited to play the game right away. Knowing that everything you do in the game is pointless. The fans mind's filled with so much sorrow that day.

sure it had a few flaws. but one the whole its a fantastic game
I love when games are announced as trillogies. It means I can ignore them until the publisher puts out the compilation of all three. Been expecting this pack for quite some time now. I was also expecting an Assassin's Creed one until they milked out two extra AC2 games.

Putting quality aside, you really think the first game in a franchise about making choices and being the same character for a 3 game arc isn't important?

there maybe flaws regarding the 1st game (as with with all other video games) but what i want to mostly experience from ME1 is playing the game and the story from the beginning, not from the sequel besides other things...
@Hizang: You probably already know but ME 1 will be on psn for only 14.99. Odd considering ME 2 was 60 dollars for almost 4 months a year after it was on 360. Sounds like a good deal. But i think i will sell my me 2 and 3 and get this pack. Mostly because i think the box art was always horrible.
This couldn't have come at a more opportune time. I only recently borrowed ME2 from a friend and played it religiously, 100% inlcuding all DLC. I don't usually buy DLC for a game I don't even own yet so that's saying something. I was blown away by the game and, despite the backlash, can't wait to wrap it up with 3. I only own the first game so I'll gift that to a friend and get this collection. It doesn't hurt that the packaging is slick as fuck.

I have the first two games in the series and all the DLC for the latter, and I would buy this collection in a goddamn heartbeat if they did this. I don't know if I could contain my excitement if this happened, in fact. I mean, jesus, I'm pumped thinking about this purely hypothetical situation.
My favourite part about the marketing is "has over 75 hours of content". I found that so interesting, how they must have debated for hours on what to put there.
"We need to make our games sound long, of course. With all the side missions, side quests, replayability.. shit, this package has THOUSANDS of hours!"
"whoa whoa whoa. The casual market is what we're after right now. They don't HAVE thousands of hours. If you just play the main story, it's about 15-20 each, let's call it 50 hours."
"50 hours? That's skimping it too much. Way too much"
