His face is oddly shaped.

Multiple perspectives. Like in Suikoden 3. You switch in between significant story benchmarks. So half the game is earth, and the other half is getting to earth. And not that you had any real choices in ME before, but since he's a premade character you won't be making moral choices with him, just playing through battles.

The video kind of reminded me of Gears of Wa...OH MY GOD THEY ARE THE SAME GAME.

He's your drop in drop out co-op partner that doesn't bring in his own experience or take any back to his own game obviously.

He's Sergeant Tutorial, the dude you play as for the first 20 minutes of the game before he dies because his last name wasn't Shepard.

it is just trailer. he is nobody. one of many marine soldiers. he won't be main character. I don't expect. since it is the first introduced on ME 3, Bioware has plenty of time to change anything until November 2011. so don't hold breath.

Whats gonna happen is, you'll play as both Sheaprd and this mysterious and the story will show both perspectives. Defending Earth as this nameless marine. And then as sheapard trying to rally help against the Reaper threat.

Not sure who he is myself but I believe he is the Shepard for when in your M.E 2 Ending has Shepard die. That's basically a couple rumours I've heard running around but I don't think it would be correct for anyone to say they can confirm unless Bioware state it themselves.

I least know who is motioncap actor may be. He's in the 2010 A-Team movie, one of the US Marines that is always following Jessica Biel's character and he looks identical to the soldier from the trailer. Unfortunately I can't find a pic of the character, nor his name after countless searchs through the cast lists >=/
