When Earth begins to fall in an ancient cycle of destruction, Commander Shepard must unite the forces of the galaxy to stop the Reapers in the final chapter of the original Mass Effect trilogy.
The prothean beacon in me1 kills Shepard and the rest was a hallucination as his brain broke down coming full circle at the end LOST style. That was what i suspected when people exploded the way they did. Its really not as bad as the reaction though. Hopefully with the Leviathan context it wont be so.....befuddling.
He must have played Leviathan, which explains the origins of the Star Child and how it created the Reapers. He could pretty accurately predict that the Star Child turns up for the ending just based on that.
I Haven't played leviathan but yeh that be a pretty big neon arrow alright
The earth is a reaper. Illusive Man gets in the head of the giant robot they make at the end of Mass Effect 2, and stomps around as a megazord. Joker was a spy the whole time, EDI becomes a real person. Dom turns into a locust.
Props to Brad for getting it right. I don't think I would of gotten it right at that point in the game, but like the guys have been saying on the bombcast, games lately have all been following a Joseph Campbell-esque "allstory" when it comes to shit like this. So, Shepard being the "Chosen One" is unfortunately not that hard to believe.
Out of all the things he could have guessed he picked a real obvious one, Shepard is the catalyst which quickly translates to he/she is the chosen one. What he got wrong that Patrick pointed out was that he felt this was the reason why everyone was so up in arms about in regards to how it ended.
