Spearhead is the first, out of two, expansion packs made available for Medal of Honor: Allied Assault.

Concepts

Artificial Intelligence

Artificial Intelligence, or AI, commonly refers to the programmed behaviors of NPCs in a game, whether it's the fact that a soldier takes cover behind a wall in Gears of War, or that townspeople cheer upon your arrival to their village in Fable.
Dedicated Servers

Commercial servers that are run separately from the game client, their bandwidth and processing power is dedicated solely to hosting. In particular hosting multiplayer games with large numbers of players. Dedicated servers superseded listen servers, that could be set up using the player-client hardware.
Developer Console

An in-game design interface that allows the player to configure aspects of a game, among other things.
Difficulty Level

Sometimes you want a challenge, sometimes you wanna coast.
Explosion

A powerful release of energy. This energy is usually expelled in all directions very quickly, typically giving off orange or red flames.
First-Person Perspective

First-Person is a vantage point that attempts to simulate looking through a game character's eyes. It is most commonly found in First-Person Shooters and Racing Games, and to a lesser extent in other genres, such as RPGs and 3D Platformers.
Heads Up Display

A heads-up display is a graphical overlay of vital information used in most modern games.
Headshot

Most modern shooting games add the realistic touch of rendering shots to the cranium instantly fatal. Glorious for the shooter, kind of a bummer to the shootee.
Health

Health is a value that gauges how much damage players can take in a game before they die or pass out. Also known as life in some games. Health is usually represented by a bar or a percentage instead of an exact amount. Found in most non sport games
Hit Points

An indication of the amount of damage a character can sustain in game. The loss of all hit points results in the players death, or penalty.
Human

Humans are bipedal, sapient primates capable of abstract reasoning, language, and emotions.
id Tech 3

id Software's engine that powered Quake III and derivative projects. Previously known as the, "Quake III Engine".
Kill to Death Ratio

A comparison between how many kills a player has made and how many deaths they have suffered. A staple of multiplayer FPS matches as an at-a-glance measure of performance.
Melee

From Beat-em-ups to fighting games to modern FPS, one dude hitting another has made an enjoyable pastime.
Military

Armed forces. The arm of government that deals with fighting wars and protecting a nation from external or internal threats
Nazis

Often used as generic, evil enemies, the Nazis of gaming are often either an extreme version of members of the German National Socialist party from the mid-thirties, or the military opponents in WW2-shooters.
No Scope

Occurs when a player kills an enemy using a sniper rifle without the aid of the scope. Generally in FPS games, sniper rifles are not equipped with crosshairs, thus making this feat impressive.
Political Thriller

The political thriller is an action story that tends to revolve around two or more nations struggling to gain power. Outcomes are usually found through military confrontations, covert wars, and back alley negotiating.
Polygonal 3D

Who needs 2D when we've got 3D? 3D, or 3 dimensions, is what we're used to seeing in almost every game these days, letting us do all sorts of awesome stuff like run in circles!
Rail Shooting Segment

A portion of a shooter or action game where players are forced into an on rail shooting sequence.
Reloading

Reloading is the action of replacing the ammunition magazine inside a gun. It adds a touch of realism to most modern shooters, and a certain amount of tension when a player is forced to reload while under fire.
Team Killing

The act of killing a fellow teammate in a game, to boost score or just for fun. This often results in being booted from games, and several games allow the server to do this automatically.
Villain

The antagonist that places obstacles in the way of the protagonist (or hero).
Voice Acting

Voice Acting is the art of providing voices for characters in games, television shows, films, radio programs, and other forms of media.
Weapons Swap

Found in many First Person Shooters or Role Playing Games, the player has the ability to swap his/her current weapon for another found on the ground or in his/her inventory.
World War II

Lasting from 1939-1945, WWII was a conflict between the Allies (America, Russia, and Great Britain) and the Axis (Germany, Japan and Italy) in the bloodiest war in human history.
Xfire

Xfire is a downloadable instant messenger client and Digital Download Store for Windows. It is targeted at gamers and has many features related to gaming.
Zoom

Pressing a button to zoom-in. For example: in a flight combat game or a shooter without iron sights.
