Reloading is the action of replacing the ammunition magazine inside a gun. It adds a touch of realism to most modern shooters, and a certain amount of tension when a player is forced to reload while under fire.
One man's terrorist, another's freedom fighter.
Respawning is when a player or NPC dies and then reappears moments later - usually in a predetermined location or group of locations - while the game continues.
If a person is made of metal and has circuitry instead of a circulatory system, then their game belongs on this list.
A term used to describe the flow of action in a typical action game, where the pace is pre-defined to feature fast action and require quick reflexes. As the name suggests, these are games where the player character can run and shoot at the same time.

Often found in either very violent games, or games taking place in or around water, Screen Splatter is a visual representation of blood, water, strawberry jam, or other liquids temporarily obscuring the player's field of vision.
Sometimes, things are just meant to happen the way they do. Usually triggered by a timer, or by the player crossing a checkpoint.

PlayStation 3 games that utilize the "tilt" functionality of the SIXAXIS or DualShock 3 controllers for minor or major gameplay mechanics.
Skydiving is a recreational activity consisting of jumping out of a plane while it is flying, and then free-falling until reaching a certain altitude. At this point, one releases their parachute and then floats gently to the ground.
A cloud of fine particles.
Eliminating a target with a long-range rifle.
Crunchy frozen water fallen from the sky. Many games feature a snow world, a snow level, or otherwise-connected regions of wintery landscapes.
Any person that is in an Army.
The Special Air Service became the model for the modern special forces of any country during WWII.
Elite and specially trained/equipped military troops and law enforcement tasked with carrying out specific and dangerous/sensitive objectives beyond the remit of regular military personnel. Many games feature special forces operators or units as protagonists or enemies.
SpeedTree is a software toolkit that generates realistic forests on the fly.
Sometimes, you want to play games with a real person who's sitting right next to you. These games have you covered.
You work with a small team of AI or human squad members (usually with a total squad size of 4) to complete objectives.
Using stealth often requires the player to accomplish their objective without being detected by enemies. Methods of detection can vary from game to game, and can be based on an enemy's line of sight, how quiet the player is, or even how the player interacts with the environment.
Stealth kills are special kills in video games that usually occur when the AI is not aware of the threat of the player.
