    Boring and pointless.

Remember when we all groaned when yet another WWII FPS was released?  Well, now it's time to do that again for modern FPS.  How many times will we have to do the War on Terror?  It's already stale, devs are already out of ideas.  You will feel that you have already played MoH because you have in MW2.

The combat is the same.  The maps are the same tiny linear path bore.  Usually no way to actually flank enemies, you just wait for them to go out in the open and move forwards.  Your AI buddies are just as mindless and will let enemies blast them on the sides.  They'll throw a grenade off something right in front of them and just yell "grenade!" and keep on firing even thou they should be running for cover.  You don't even need to worry about ammo as you can just ask the AI for more.  Hell, why even bother having the enemies drop their guns?

The story.. what story?  You got a guy in a camp yelling at a guy in a office who is obviously clueless and you bounce between different outfits who are just in the worst fight possible.. yawn.  The story lacked any emotion and at the end it was clear they was trying to get that same effect that MW1 did.  I guess its the 'in thing' now to have story people die in the dumbest possible ways now.

MW1's AC130 level is still the best one from any MW game and MoH too.  MoH gives us a chopper ride on rails against a village and some mountain camps.  The game likes you to call in strikes using a target finder but only once do you actually get to 'pilot' a incoming missile.  There was no awesome level that you will be talking about for years unless you are making fun of the horrible ATV driving.

I beat the story in under five hours on normal.  You could do it even quicker if you moved forward all the time.  Since everything is so linear, there is no replay value unless you want the hard achievement.

The visuals were good but not great.  The enemies models were decent but I swear all the friendly AI guys that are part of the story look the same.  Maybe slight differences in the face but they all had a very very strong resemblence.

All in all, the game lacked excitement, it lacked anything to set it apart from MW2.  Both games have a horrible story and a boring campaign.  Just like MW2, if you aren't playing for the MP then you will only want to rent it.  Sadly, at the end, the game shows that the next one will still be based on the War on Terror so just more of the same.... *groans*.

You want the best, the most intense, the most exciting FPS of this year?  Halo: Reach.  You can even bring some friends.

A very lackluster AAA release for 2010 0

Oh poor Medal of Honor, seemed like you were doomed from the start. You come out a month after the sales juggernaut that was Halo Reach and that's not even counting Call of Duty: Black Ops will pull considering the popularity of that franchise. But also, there was always this kind of..."off" feeling about the game, from its severely lackluster beta to the controversy concerning the use of the Taliban, I wasn't exactly having a ton of hopes for the game. There's nothing fundamentally wrong with t...

Great SP, weak MP. Why? Read on. 0

I just picked up Medal of Honor a couple of days ago, after pondering whether or not to actually buy it, if any of you are thinking the same then hopefully this review will help you make a decision. It is a first person shooter developed by two branches of EA, there is DICE who dealt with developing the multiplayer aspect of the game and Danger Close (EA LA) who worked solely on developing the singleplayer side of the game. The aim of the game for them was to create a direct challenge to Mo...
