An over-the-top shooter, Metal Slug 7 continues the classic franchise on the Nintendo DS.
Overview
Metal Slug 7 is a game for the Nintendo DS, developed and published by SNK Playmore. The game was released in Japan on July 17, 2008 and came out November 18, 2008 in the U.S. Metal Slug 7 is the first numbered game in the series not to be released on the Arcade. At the Tokyo Game Show during Microsoft's keynote, a Xbox Live Arcade version of Metal Slug 7 is planned for a Winter release.The game has seven different missions to play, each one with it's own set of vehicles and weapons.
Characters
The same cast of characters from Metal Slug 6 return in Metal Slug 7, each with their own specialty in battle. They include:- Marco Rossi - The most balanced of the characters in Metal Slug 7. He is, however, the best at handling the handgun.
- Tarma Roving - Most skilled with tanks and fighter planes.
- Eri Kasamoto - Best with explosives, especially hand grenades.
- Fiolina (Fio) Germi - Can carry a large amount of ammo, and can pierce any armor, regardless of thickness.
- Clark Still - The master of throwing, capable of throwing enemies.
- Ralf Jones - Very fast in close quarters combat.
Vehicles
So far, two new vehicles have been announced. The currently known vehicles in the game include:- Slug Truck
So far, the only thing known about this vehicle is that it will be similar to the original Metal Slug vehicle.
- Slug Giant
The Slug Gigant is a giant robot. The vehicle has heavy firepower.
Game Modes
So far, two modes are known. The standard Arcade mode will be available, but the "Combat School" mode featured in Metal Slug X will be making a return in Metal Slug 7.| Game Name | Metal Slug 7 |
