In MegaMan battle Network 3, MetalMan appeared as an optional boss. One could fight him by talking to his operator Tamako, the owner of a souvenir shop outside the Yoka Inn. Later in the game, one had to face him in the N1 Grand Prix. In the Blue Moon version of MegaMan Battle Network 4, he could be encountered as an opponent in the Hawk Tournament, and MetalSoul was gained by defeating him. He fights by using homing missiles, guard-breaking punches and using the saw blades on his shoulders as boomerangs.
