First released for the C64 in PAL territories under the name "Quedex - The Quest for Ultimate Dexterity", Mind-Roll was originally developed by legendary Finnish programmer Stavros Fasoulas. Epyx picked up the rights to the game from Thalamus, and ported it to the Amiga and PC (under the name "Mind-Roll") a year later. A TRS-80 CoCo port appeared in 1989.
The game consists of ten small levels, which all require the player to guide a ball through a course to an exit. Levels also feature additional gameplay elements, such as obstacle avoidance and racing. Levels can be tackled in any order.
