Silent Software was founded in 1988 by Baron R.K. von Wolfsheild. The company primarily released games for the Commodore Amiga, including Fire Power, Turbo and a few games based on movie licenses such as Die Hard and Who framed Roger Rabbit ? The latter was praised for its groundbreaking animation technology which was later incorporate into Disney's The Animation Studio. A sequel to the classic Firepower was released for the 3DO console system and Playstation in 1995. Silent Software reorganized and became Prolific Publishing and branched out to develop programs for video slot machines and Apple Mac. As of today, Prolific is still active, although by now the catalog is limited to screensavers, utility programs and video slot machines.
