I've recently begun doing dual Minecraft commentaries with my "commentary partner", if you will, and I'm really excited about the reception I've been getting. We put it on Youtube, and some of my friends who followed my Mario commentary jumped on board the Minecraft commentary and have been really enjoying it. However, none of them play Minecraft or have really heard of it. I've been looking for the opinion of some Minecraft players and people who are into commentaries in general.  
 
I might use this blog to update my commentary releases and maybe gage what people may or may not like to see in a Minecraft commentary or in another game. I really hope some of you guys will enjoy and I'd appreciate any feedback possible.

Pretty funny, makes me want to play Minecraft again. This is coming from someone who hasn't played Minecraft since it was in its earliest form. Can't wait for the next one.

Thanks man. Minecraft is really cool now. The beta that was just released (1.4) has tamable companion wolves (think Fable 2), that are awesome and will attack stuff for you aha.

Thanks a lot! Yeah he's a pretty funny guy, he keeps it interesting. The episodes get quite funny so if you liked it would be great if you kept watching aha. 
 
Anyways, if anyone has suggestions I'd love to hear it.

I'm liking the commentary a good bit, but what's really entertaining is the incredible luck you guys are having as of part 2. (and the freaking out at the "cunt" sign ramifications feels a LOT like a classic Quick Look moment in the making, so +10 for that)

These are really good. You two play off each other in some pretty funny ways which keeps the video interesting.  Also, you found two dungeons that quickly? Thats some insane luck right there. Good thing you were recording.

I don't particularly like Let's Plays, nor Minecraft, but I actually enjoyed your videos. I like the more casual approach you two take to your videos. You play well off each other, and I think it makes the commentary more entertaining than traditional Let's Plays.

" @The_Laughing_Man: I use Screenflow (Mac) to capture my screen as well as record our voice and render it out in Apple ProRes 422 (HQ) codec, then edit it all in Final Cut Pro and render it out in h.264. I'm a film student though so this is what I actually do :P

Regarding that skeleton that spawned by your bed multiple times after sleeping in it in one of the episodes:

If a hostile mob can get within 2 blocks of the bed, even if the blocks are separated by a wall, you will be awakened with the hostile mob standing next to you. There appears to be a slight delay before the mob attacks you, giving you time to get the first blow."

So, yeah, that would appear to be what happened.  Consider making the wall separating your bedroom from the outside thicker  :P

I dont want to add up how much time of my precious life i just lost, but you had me hooked till the end.  Worth it.

Something else I forgot to mention.  Are you aware you can use the sneak function to get on the edge of a block you're standing on and see its sides without falling off?  You could have used that to build that dirt bridge where you kept falling off and dying.  No need to inch out, just hold down the sneak button and it'll disallow you from stepping off the block.

When water and flowing lava (as opposed to a lava source block) collide, it creates cobblestone.  That's why that cobblestone is between the water and lava streams.

Also, if you didn't know, wolves whine periodically when their health is low, which is why you hear your dog whining here and there.  The angle of its tail corresponds to the percentage of its health, so at 100% health its tail will be raised just above horizontal (100 degrees).  Also, each pork chop you give it only heals 15%.

You two are pretty damn amusing. I typically don't stick to 'Let's Plays' but you two do it in such a style that reminds me of me and my friends that it's got me hooked. Well definitely check out everything you guys have done so far.
