Stop and think for a moment as to why IW would do this. It's not for any of the reasons they have given, nor is it to sell DLC, nor is it to combat piracy, its not to be fair, or any other reason most people are listing. So why?

Activision.

Activision Blizzard is a publicly owned company, and do you know what the goal of every publicly owned company is? To increase their stockholder's wealth, not to make games that people want to play. They aren't trying to make the game like the Xbox 360 version, they are trying to steer you away from the PC version to buy the next installment ON the Xbox. Why? Because console versions sell more, and make more money for the company. They are just thinking long term. They want to alienate the PC community to make them go towards a console. Kudos to them too, because they did a wonderful job of it. Charge the same price as a console version and remove standard PC features. The people at IW aren't idiots, they know what PC gamers want, and expect in a game, but they aren't giving it to us because the company that writes their checks is telling them not to.

It's a bad time to be a PC gamer, bad time indeed. I don't foresee this trend ending anytime soon either.

Mr. Kane please calm down.    Every time something big happens multiple threads spring up about the same topic.  As people have said there are other topics on this, there really is no need to make another.  "

Either way, IW will still go on with this as planed.  No one can stop them.
