There's always time for stories about glitches in Modern Warfare 2. Yes, once again 2009's most popular shooter has been exploited by people who feel accomplished by cheating in videogames. The latest bug arrived in very much the same way as the last one -- it's a PC mod that has been smuggled onto the Xbox 360 version. 

This new glitch grants players the ability to move in fast-motion, and players get the feeling that they're skating on ice while they move. Running gives players about five times the normal speed. This glitch is most commonly found on Sabotage games, so be warned if that's your preferred gametype.

Every glitch uncovered in Modern Warfare 2 is yet another point scored by those in favor of dedicated servers. It really seems that letting Infinity Ward handle everything did not make for a more secure and fun gaming experience. Not that we expect IW to care, given the amount of bank they made.

I was wondering why that happened but I was in HC TDM when it happened :P.

PC modders. Gotta love 'em.

LOL it was so crazy I just happened to play a match with it, I have to say this is my favorite glitch so far, Everyone is the Flash!

sounds fun, I want that to happen.

Happened to me once, it was pretty awesome I have to say, tried to stay in the lobby for as long as I could before it got wiped with a server merge.

They still have no proof at all of what they are claiming just like the first time. Destructoid is such garbage.

That happened a few weeks back to me. It was actually a fun change of pace, but only because i'd been having a bad streak of games before it. They should really just make some of these things options for private matches.

I've seen a lot of these recently.

I played a match with this glitch last night.  It was kinda fun too for a couple of games, I wouldn't do it for very long though.

Encountered this in Team Deathmatch on Terminal. Stupid glitch, hated it. Joined a game late and ended up going 6-3, but it was pretty annoying.

i kind of wish i got the 360 version so i can have these problems like the infinite ammo one. i've heard of this before it sounds kind of annoying and fun at the same time. this is pretty good i guess if it is true that people are actually modding it.

when the entire pc base dedicates their time to hack the game out of spite cause they didn't get dedicated servers and its harder to pirate the game that i hear, you can expect this...but thats the case of pc gamers juvenile brats that think every thing should be free which is they piracy rates are so high on pc.

What do you mean?  That's exactly the same glitch. "

That sucks, but I'm sure they'll sort it out soon if it becomes too much of a problem. 

This looks actually pretty amazingly fun; they should include this and the infinite ammo glitch as a seperate game mode just for shits and giggles. Halve the experience points or something if you need to; or don't give any at all. Just a mode where you just have fun.
 
Though I am a little ticked off at the PC punks who constantly try bombing the game with glitches just because they didn't get what they want.

Lol try firing a shot gun when this glitch is in effect. You go about fifty yards backwards.

I don't understand how a PC mod can just teleport over to 360. It's a blatant case of bad coding here. It's like accusing modders of Hot Coffee when the content was already on the San Andreas disc.

I remember this happening once on a server I was playing on. It was TDM though, so it didn't really help anyone, although it did help me slide and shoot accurately.
