What have you thought the space part was about after watching the trailer. I thought it was a bonus mission in space where you can get an experimental laser gun and people in jump suits are everywhere. Kind of like that NOLF 2 bit.

The sequel to 2007’s wildly successful first-person-shooter Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 continues the story of American and British soldiers fighting Russian ultra-nationalist forces.
Your initial thoughts on the space bit in the trailer
i didn't think there would be much fighting, but then again i still thought it was going to be somewhat realistic at that point lol
i thought we'd at least get some slow, tension builder scene, like say the nuke scene in COD4 or the start of the ice pick level, was kind of dispointed even if it did look pretty cool. I thought we'd get to move from point a to point b, then repair some part of the spaceship with some slow, careful button presses and movement stick movements.. then we'd have to slowly travel back to the ship... but as we were doing it and giving a signal to the other guy in the ship (another movement stick gesture)..disaster strikes!
but yeah, i feel it would have been effective if the trailer hadn't got my imagination going.
I only saw the astronaut suit and then paused it because it was getting too spoiler; but I already heard the homeland invasion and a controversial CIA scene so I thought something with the ISS and there was a cosmonaut and you became enemies because of the invasion and you had to hunt eachother down.
It was fucking awesome... The dude was all like "Uh, Johnson, we have a visual to your right, would you mind checking it out" and of course in my stupidity and fatigue of it being 3am the first night after i got the game, i was looking to the left. And i continued to look right, as he repeated this several times. I was like, "WTF?!".
Then eventually i looked Right, and BOOOOM!

Figured it was a special mission like The Mile High Club.
Was dissapointing to find out it's just a cutscene.
I thought this was going to be the Russians way of attacking the US. Knocking all of the satellites out first then proceeding with an invasion.
I don't remember it from the trailer, but I'm definitely glad that there's no fighting in space. I like Star Wars, but I wouldn't yet classify those kind of battles as modern warfare.
