The latest (gigantic 15.8GB) patch wipes all of your progress.

Also I just tried to play on Sky Temple and it's still pretty much unplayable even on the lowest settings. No improvement.

Currently downloading a new patch. Only 15.2GB this time! Actually it's not even a patch, they are just rolling back the previous patch.

HAHAHA wait what? I already download a 15 gb patch (the second 15 gb patch in a month), it deletes my save. now immediately after its asking to download another 15 gb patch to de-patch it? This is so bad its hilarious, I give up its not even worth the time.

@masterpaperlink: Just wait until the next 15GB to re-patch the de-patch. Then it will be hilarious.

They need to stop using High Voltage to do their ports. They are terrible at it.

@muftyriots: When I started the game after both patches I did get 10K Krypt Koins.

Don't worry guys, we'll get 20k extra koins and a pack of easy fatality tokens then all will be forgiven.

Boy, they keep just fucking up the PC stuff left and right. Can any company actually do a decent fighting game port on PC? Dead or Alive 5 is all kinds of fucked up as well.

@demoskinos: Street Fighter IV performs fantastically on PC, though the Steamworks netcode isn't as good as the GFWL netcode.

So far I'm just playing the game in offline mode and not applying any patches. It's been working! But I pretty much have just been doing single player towers and versus.

@demoskinos: Skullgirls for the PC is probably the best version of it and Street Fighter 4 runs smooth as butter on even a 4 year old laptop.

Man, you'd think that with High Voltage's track record they would stop using them for any more of their ports.

@thunderslash: I gurantee you the only reason Netherrealm works with High Voltage is some bullshit sense of camaraderie just because they're both in Chicago.

Another 15.8GB patch incoming that promises not to wipe progress. No mention on whether it fixes the resolution bug introduced yesterday or not.

I'm currently downloading the new 15.8GB patch. Apparently it will enable Jason and such but will not restore the lost the game progress.

Technically buying the DLC will enable Jason but seeing as I've been unable to play the base game I paid for since release they can get fucked if they think I'm handing over any more money to them.

No previous versions show up for me so I'm still shit out of luck but maybe it can help someone else.

It's truly maddening that the lever hallway bug is still in there. I'm locked out of most of the Krypt because of a stupid bug.

It seems like High Voltage is now handing out the Krypt item unlocking DLC for free as compensation for the fuckups.

I'm much more interested in getting the challenge costumes and online/faction stuff back though. You know, the stuff that actually took a lot of time and effort to get, unlike the Krypt items.

@hassun: This looks like it's only being given out to those that downloaded the broken patch. If, like me, you stopped the download when you found out it was busted you don't get the free DLC. Unfortunately the krypt is still broken with the lever thing and unopenable chests that won't allow you to get all items without either waiting for another patch or buying the DLC.

Even more irritating is that a previous patch deleted my first save so I guess that one didn't count.

...and the new patch fucks the frame rate.

As for performance, it's pretty much the same for me as it was before. Not very good.

@hassun: I used the self support system and cheat engined myself the coins I needed. Just missing a couple of brutalities from the bugged timed chests.

The performance has never been great but I'm getting noticeable frame rate drops now at the lowest settings with a GTX780 & it's still leaking memory like a prolapsed bumhole.

I didn't get the save wipe as i didn't run the game for the duration of the issue, performance is the same as before for me, solid 60, but netcode is still incredibly bad.

@TechnoSyndrome: SFIV has always been a great performer on the PC.

Tanya update now live on PC. Let's see if High Voltage has managed to make the performance acceptable.

EDIT: Just downloaded a 1.4GB patch which seems to have changed... Absolutely nothing!

EDIT 2: Just received another patch which unlocked Tanya. No fixes yet though.

@hassun: Tanya seems like another one of those "Work really hard to do less damage than the actually good characters" types.

Very vulnerable to zoning despite ostensibly being a gunslinger. First time I played in a few weeks and went 13-1 against 50% (or 0%) chance to win opponents, maybe I don't have to practice MK after all.

@fredchuckdave: Kotal's zoning is not exactly fantastic you know. And as a Sun God player my mission is to get close. That match looked more like me vs a Kitana than me vs an Erron.

That being said I'm glad they nerfed Erron's tackle in the new balance patch, even though I have no idea when they are actually going to release it on PC and the Tanya patch did not improve the game's performance on my PC, making me doubt if I should continue trying to play.

Has anyone been able to get Cheat Engine to work since the Jason patch a week or two ago? I just got the game and after hearing Jeff talk about using it to hack in a ton of Koins I'm really wanting to give it a try now that I've seen how slowly you earn them.
