Overview
Mr. Driller G, also known as Mr. Driller Great, is a puzzle-platformer developed by Project Driller and released by Namco for arcades (using PS1-based Namco System 10 hardware) in Japan on March 2001.
An enhanced revision of Mr. Driller 2, Mr. Driller G brings Time Attack Mode to the arcades while adding multiple playable characters, each with their own unique traits and abilities.
The game was later ported to the PlayStation on November 22, 2001. This version features a dedicated story mode ("Scenario Driller"), adding multiple types of missions (including player-vs-CPU races and special puzzle stages that make use of power-up items). This version was later re-released as a PSone Classics title for PlayStation Network on June 26, 2013.
