    Ninety-Nine Nights Review

Ninety-Nine Nights is a game for the XBOX360 that when it came out everyone was hoping for an awesome game. Sadly what people got was a game that was repetitive in actions, and sometimes a game were just plain dumb luck would allow you to die or live to see another day.

The graphics for this game were very pleasant to the eye, and the ability to stuff a ton of enemies on the screen with little slow down was nice too. The special attacks looked elegant and stood out as well. The models for enemies and characters a like looked crisp. The cut-scenes, I admit, made me drool from time to time.

The controls were simplistic and it showed as you were just mashing the same combo of buttons over and over again as hoard after hoard of enemies seemed to fall upon you. As you leveled up your character you would get new combos, and then they would be the ones that you'd be doing repeatedly. The camera did from time to time, with the thanks of all the enemies, be came useless.

The gameplay itself had its shining moments, but it also had its big smudges. There are too many times in the game where you lose your character because the developers wanted to constantly remind you of how cool they were with the ability to put so many enemies on the screen. The storyline was there for some characters and felt haphazard for others.

This is a mindless game at times, sometimes it has its moments, but more times than not it has its frustrations. It is an awesome achievement to unlock the characters, and defeat each story arch, but in the end there is a good chance that you are going to be left wanting after playing this game. The potential was there, but it wasn't full realized, 6.8 out of 10.

Ninety-Nine Nights was an inexcusable mess. 0

Ninety-Nine Nights is extremely repetitive hack and slasher.  It doesn't offer anything new or exciting.  I hated the art style, I hated the cutscenes and how interruption they were.  The storyline bored me, the characters were forgettable.  The difficulty was inconsistent.  Your characters walked way to slow on the massive battlefields.  There is no checkpoint in the stages, so you if accidentally die then you have to start over at the beginning, losing all experience or items you gained.  I ho...

How can you fail at making a hack and slash game? 0

I didn't really have high hopes for this game when I went in to it, but I never imagined for one second that it could be this bad. "What’s so bad about it?" I hear you cry, or not as no one cares, well let me tell you. First of all the most basic and fundamental thing that you should get right when making a Hack and Slash game.... the hacking and the slashing, the hit detection in this game is pretty awful, I mean it's ok for you attacking normal enemies and even them attacking you back, but so...
