Traded it in 4 days after release!
I was really anticipating Shift, it looked amazing before the game came out so I pre-ordered it. They called me on release day and I went and picked up the game payed $65 for it, played it for a while, the driving took some getting used to at Tier 1 but I managed it in a FWD and advanced to Tier 2. There I bought a RWD car and upgraded it, BIG MISTAKE!!! it felt like I was driving on a wet track with not a drop in sight. The track just seemed to be icy when turning corners so I went straight into the wall. So then I went and bought the AWD Audi RS4 that was quite a bit better but it was still nothing like what I was used to racing in any other game (Forza 1&2, GRiD, GT 3,4,5 , Test Drive, Any of them!) after making my way through Tier 3 I decided to stay with my Audi and just upgraded that, but their are races where you have to use other cars ex. Corvette Z06. These cars are completely unmanagable! but somehow I made my way to the final Tier 4, where I bought the fastest car in the game the Zonda F! Despite my vast experience in video game racing games I failed every race. One more thing, the racing line in the game is telling you where your car should be, not exactly how to get there, and if your car is low to the ground BEWARE!!! it now will be equipt with Hydraulics... 4 days after release I was back to the game store taking a $30 hit on trading in what my friends and I now call "Need for Speed: $HIT"... dont get me wrong, the game looks beautiful! except fot the flag lady standing in the back seat of your car at the starting line *Doh!
My experienced video game racing review is to recomend you not to waste your money on this game!
