We've Got New Shows And A Premium Sale!

Oh man, this sounds awesome!

I'm excited for Guilty Treasures, and lesser known games. I'm not too familiar with Grubb's work aside from a little YouTube stuff but I'm willing to give it a good chance. Plus we still have Tamoor, Lucy and more Ryckert stuff which I've been missing. Thank goodness for Fire Escape at least. I'm not into Souls games but I know a lot of other people are so there should be something new for everyone in the coming weeks/months.

I just hope the coaching isn't too direct. Like don't give him anything but starter tips and hints unless he hits a wall HARD, especially since he's already finished Bloodborne. Like I can't beat the boss in multiple episodes hard. Otherwise it'll like be someone playing with a gamefaqs walkthrough.

Side question: Is GB done having an office now?

Oh man, I can't wait to see the first episode of Guilty Treasures. With Jeff's tastes, I can't wait to see how Danny manages to cover the game he chose. (Could this be the start of a full-on Mr. Do! documentary? Maybe!)

@hellbrendy: Jeff's said they aren't returning to an office this year. Don't know about beyond that.

I hope they do go back to an office, at least part time, at some point. Group calls are fun in their own chaotic, live way ... but there's just some stuff you can't do without everybody in the same room.

Watching Souls games is usually a good time. I imagine Sekiro can get tough for him, but you can do it Danny!

Ah man, such cool people but none of this content appeals to me and isn't the sort of thing I was hoping for when they said they were gonna change it up and do "New and Fresh" content. It isn't like we've already had any series of people playing through souls games on here, except for Load Our Last Souls....

and Breaking Brad: Demon's Souls....

and Breaking Bradborne....

and Jan plays Bloodborne...

but apart from from those 4 shows, this is totally new and fresh content.

The news show sounds like a monologued version of Bombing' in the AM with Scoops and the Wolf, and the guilty treasures sounds like it should be a podcast, but if the staff haven't talked about their guilty pleasure games in years and years of podcasts already, I'd be surprised.

I'm sure it'll do well and appeal to others though, but was really hoping for something a little more left-field.

I finally got premium after the free trial ended in December, because I liked the Hot Spot having four guys, all within a couple years of age, talking about having played games for 40 years. Then, we suddenly lost two thirds of the podcasts, which have been just about the only content I consume from GB. I don't know if the new shows are podcasts or videos, I don’t really want more videos, but I guess I'll see what happens thru the end of the year. Nextlander costs $120 a year in order to get anything close to what GB used to give, and I'm not sure I want to pay that much right now.

I'm cautiously optimistic about this. The thing that appealed to me about GB vs other YouTubers was that they had an actual studio to produce content and create wacky skits. It looks like for now, everything will still be done remotely and it's going to be behind a premium subscription.

Grubbsnax is totally my thing. I always wanted a condensed gaming news weekly summary because I don't have the time to listen to the Bombcast every week or sift through online articles.

Bourne to Run is something I feel that has been done to death. I know the Souls genre is very popular but they have got to do something to differentiate themselves from what is already out there.

Guilty Treasures is okay? I guess it wholly depends on the games that are chosen.

Really looking forward to BTR. I'm sure plenty of people will disagree with me, but I kinda lost interest in the videos where you guys just do a raw stream of a game. I'm more into the edited, informative style of Let's Play videos.

Undecided on Grubb Snax but will definitely check it out. Very happy to see GB bringing back more produced content.

Was wondering if I'd see any other slugs appear on this board. Already a fan of RKG, so looking forward to seeing Danny and Tamoor take on the Souls series too. As long as they don't call their character Finchy II, I'm sure they can make it 'their own'.

Really excited about these new shows! Feels like Christmas. Looking forward to being able to see the soulsborne games without the frustration, I've always loved the art design and whole vibe of those worlds. And I can't wait for Guilty Treasure that sounds like so much fun.

It's unfortunate none of these shows will make me stay premium. I don't want industry news and don't really find watching the From games to be much fun. None of Dan's other shows have ever clicked with me so I won't be interested in whatever that project is. From the total slowdown of other content on the site it sort of feels at this point like they are putting all their eggs in the new shows basket which is disappointing.

I really hope I'm wrong.

I'm really digging Grubbsnax and cant wait for the other shows!

I was just thinking about how no one really appreciates Phantasy Star IV, and "Guilty Treasures" sounds like it's going to be all conversations like that, so I am thrilled to check it out! I always thought Encyclopedia Bombastica could use a 2nd person to chat to while playing.
