These games were popular enough to warrant an anime, whether it was a full television series, an OVA (original video animation), or a feature-length movie.

Genies, which originated from Arabia, are supernatural creatures that are magical and many can grant wishes. Some have a lamp or bottle and the owner of said item has power over them, including forcing them back into it and making them stay there.

Reptilian humanoids are a common motif in mythology, folklore and fantasy. As a race, they are sometimes cited to be extremely old, even older than men and elves. Examples: Lizalfos (Zelda), Lizardmen (Warhammer) & Argonians (The Elder Scrolls) They generally walk upright like any other humanoid and sport some kind of tail.
