The Nintendo DS is a handheld featuring two screens, one of which is a resistive touchscreen. Four different models are available: the original DS, the DS Lite, the DSi, the DSi XL.
Taking a cue from Metacritic, which of course us sensible people know is merely a guide, not a bible. Looking at the best 45 games (a score of 83 and above) as judged by the critics of the world, how many of them do you own?
Which ones deserve their place in the list - and why?

Why come up with a random number like 45? ...What happened to Top 50/25/10? Back on point, pretty much every game I own is on that list...so I'll say somewhere between 10 and 15.
So that makes 25 of them. For me, they are all good games, but there are many RPG that have scored less that would be better than the likes of Clubhouse Games & Nintendogs.
I most certainly will add a few games at some point in the future:
GTA: Chinatown Wars
Chrono Trigger
Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride
The only games I wouldn't get under any circumstances are FIFA Soccer & Picross - just no interest.

Yeah, it is an odd number, but there is a logical explanation. I thought 40 and 50, but 45 ended with those on 83 score. It was the closest to 40 & 50 that seemed like a 'round' number, if you know what I mean :-)
@oldschool: Now I must ask why you decided to go with games that score 83 or better and not 80 or better :P ...that is yet another weird number. I assume this is because there are a crapload of games that have averaged a score of 80 or more, but I'm not 100% sure. I also find it stupid to give Pokemon 3 individual places...they are all the same game (yes, I know Platinum has some new content...but seriously, SERIOUSLY!)...and the same goes for Nintendogs.
I also think it would have been better to call this list "The best 45 rated games on DS" because that's what they really are...I'm just saying :P There are plenty of games that I would consider better than ones on that list, but sadly they weren't as critically loved as the games listed above...doesn't mean they're not as good, or even better.

Glad to be of service. It does look the awesome :-) Many fans amongst the DS ranks here. I will be importing as a PAL release is a way off I think - plus the Australian dollare is really climbing against the Greenback :-) Cheap imports again - yayyyyyyyy.
