Otomedius Excellent Coming To The US

Otomedius is coming West. Konami has announced Otomedius Excellent, an Xbox Live Arcade-exclusive downloadable, for the US. Otomedius Excellent is a true sequel to Otomedius G, which was a "spiritual successor" to Sexy Parodius. But in a nutshell, Otomedius is a 2D-side-scrolling parody of the Gradius series that features the same sort of play--with the addition of breasts-equipped crafts. Also, penguins.

No images of Excellent yet, folks...so here's a picture of Gillian Anderson in a Bacta Tank.

Otomedius Excellent will feature a better upgrade system, sexier visuals, downloadable content, unlockables such as wallpaper and "graphics" which can be viewed in an in-game gallery. It will also support local and multiplayer components and have nine characters to choose from.

Konami says the game will be out this winter.
