I'm sure the point of the game is to look through the fake in-game instruction book but it would be neat to get a 1 or 2 page sheet that has all of the references pages.

A graphical adventure game about Cold War-era immigration control, where players take the role of an immigration inspector who must control the flow of people entering a fictional Soviet-style nation. Glory to Arstotzka!
A cheat sheet would be cool
Your fingers broke, son? This is what happens when we take the "Notes" section out of manuals, people! Or removing manuals period! When I was your age I had to walk uphill both ways to get a Baldurs Gate 2 manual and WE LIKED IT!
It reminds me a lot of cartlife where the frustration and difficulty is a part of the experience. I don't think the mentality is to "beat" the game. Its more in line with the whole entertainment being depressingly enlightening. If its anything like cartlife for sure. I always wished LA Noire didn't have an ingame notebook, was really disappointed when I fired that up with my notepad on my desk. Old games had some charm.
Pull a Drew and make your own. Wouldn't take too long.
Yeah, get your Scanl on!

Goddammit! You are so FIRED!
@none_braver: hand meet pen, pen meet paper
@primalhorse: la noire had a lot of charm. To bad it was boring and lifeless.
I'm thinking about making a list of the cities for each country at least, maybe with seals next to them. I just lost and I'm probably going to start from the beginning.
Loving it so far, my only complaint is that if you get a citation on your last person, you don't get a chance to read it before the summary screen, unless I'm missing something.
I wrote down all of the regions and their issuing cities when I played the demo. Making your own cheat sheet is dead simple.
The GOG one comes with a pdf of the in game guide
Does seeing the full rulebook spoil anything major?
I need to print this.
Don't want to make a new thread, so will just ask here. I've noticed a few times that when I ask a guy what his purpose here is, the answer he gives is different to that on his entry permit. I know if I let him through i'll get buzzed for it, but don't know how to actually stop him. I've tried clicking the reason on the page, and his big face but nothing. Is there a chat log?

If I'm reading this right, you have to link the audio transcript of his purpose with the entry permit.

Thanks a bunch, I just put that on my iPad.
The 80s are gonna be so much easier to handle with an iPad now.
Cause no trouble
Since we are asking - how do you query weight? Click on weight and what else? What is a suspicious weight? too low?
Too high, they might be concealing stuff.
Automating game elements is a slippery slope. Pretty soon developers have automated half the game away, and nobody has any fun playing a game and they don't know why. (You don't have to press a button to open doors! your character knows! you don't have to collect drops! they suck into your body now! you don't have to go to a place! you can fast travel! you don't have to sell your items back, you can just press one button and it sells everything that's not the best! "So, you mean, I just press this one button until the game is over?" Yes! Fun, right?!)

well said. That's pretty much where we are right now, but I think some developers are starting to get the hint.

That's way more useful than the other one. I am definitely going to try using this because invalid issuing cities have been the most annoying thing so far.
How about some minor improvements?
Now THAT is a fantastic first post.
I cleaned up the image (which took quite a bit of effort since it was LOADED with needless dithering) so it can be printed on paper without wasting a ton ink/toner. :)
While I agree that the purpose of the game is to feel the pinch of having to fumble through awkward documents under the specter of the clock, I also agree that a quick reference isn't a completely terrible idea. Being too lazy to assemble one, I thank everyone who already has!
