The first-ever PAX outside the United States will take place in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia on July 19-21, 2013 at the Melbourne Showgrounds.

Overview

Penny Arcade Expo Australia is the first PAX to be held outside the United States of America. The Expo is located in Melbourne (the state capital of Victoria) for its launch year in 2013.

Ron Gilbert, the designer/programmer/producer of games such as Maniac Mansion, Monkey Island, and The Cave, will be the guest speaker for PAX's traditional "Storytime" (keynote).

Attendance

Registration for the inaugural PAX Australia began on October 21, 2012.

  • 3-Day Pass ($115) - Sold out on October 30, 2012.
  • Friday ($45) - Sold out on March 24, 2013.
  • Saturday ($45) - Sold out on December 27, 2012.
  • Sunday ($45) - Sold out on March 5, 2013.
