    Overview

    Payday: Crime War, stylized as PAYDAY: Crime War, is a free-to-play co-operative crime-themed first-person shooter developed and published by PopReach Games (in conjunction with Overkill and Starbreeze) for iOS and Android devices on June 6, 2023.

    A spin-off of the Payday series, Crime War brings the Payday 2 experience to mobile devices, revamping the gunplay and heists for quicker sessions while adding microtransactions and seasonal passes. As the title eludes, Crime War features a 4v4 PVP mode known as "Cash Grab", where two teams of heisters fight to capture funds from their opponent's vault.

    The game was originally in development by BadFly Interactive and was envisioned as an asymmetric PVP-focused shooter with one team as the heisters and the other team as elite law enforcers sent to stop them. After some pre-release beta periods since late 2018, development was shelved a year later before being reworked into the series' classic co-operative experience.
