I'm looking for a music player that has a low CPU/RAM usage that can run on WINDOWS 7 64 bit?

i've heard of MXPLAY something like that, but I'm not sure if it can run on 64 bit.

    any suggestions?

Yeah, I know a great music player with absolutely no CPU/RAM usage. It's called an iPod.

Seriously, if you want low memory use for gaming usage, an iPod is an outstanding, if expensive, way to go.

I use Zune and despite all the animation that goes on (which can be turned off) it uses significantly less RAM than iTunes does.

I'd suggest you not worry about it.  The overhead for something like Winamp has got to be completely insignificant these days.  I used to run Winamp in the background playing Quake 2 on a Pentium 2 300MHz.

You also don't need to worry about running a 64-bit version of an application like Winamp.

Foobar is great, I use it with a simple setup like so:

But you can make it as pretty and bloated as you like, it's more customisable than Winamp is, with tons of cool themes and setups to find online, and a lower overhead as you can see in my task manager.

I use to use winamp back in the day, and it probably has a pretty low overhead.

It's probably higher if you use the new skins, but it does have the old skin system too if you like.

If you aren't a 486, quit worrying so much about RAM/CPU usage lol.

iTunes or Winamp is what I use, generally iTunes now.

I like how you point to the worst option you could have given. It's not only a RAM hog, it's also a CPU hog.

I would highly recommend Media Monkey because the CPU/RAM usage is very minimal, it has a nice slick look to it, and it also plays just about every single type of music file imaginable. Oh, and it's got a useful built-in converter (I don't know if that is standard for music players nowadays, but either way, it's a good feature).

foobar2k is a pretty good program, i use it and it doesn't use up alot of RAM (can't say about CPU speed, but i'm pretty sure it doesn't exactly eat that either.)
