Do you think the classic adventure genre will make a comeback?
Anyone wish they'd make a comeback as much as me? Any games in this style I've missed in the last 2-3 years? any coming to feed the need?
"I guess the amount of responses to this thread cheering for one makes me understand... a single tear just streamed down my face.I guess the popularity of the thread is indicative of peoples interest in this genre these days. But like you I would certainly love to see some sort of resurgence in this area. And maybe Cartman is right, we just need that one really kick ass one so that we can jump in and enjoy it one more time.

i would love to see a nice new adventure game absolutely!!! i remember the first time i played Day Of The Tentacle and i believe that was the first adventure game i ever played on the PC after switching over from the amiga's. I tell ya what though, the game Dracula : Origins is a really good adventure game, not quite like those classics, but it has the same classic adventure feel to it which i haven't seen in a pretty long time myself....
I Don't think the genre is dead or anything, just hasn't been explored in a long time.
They are making a come back you know.... heres one that has been released just recently
