    Hey fellas, I could do with a favor.

    I can't decide between which graphics card to put in my computer. I've narrowed the choice down to either the Radeon  HD 4890 OC - 1GB DDR5 or the Radeon HD 4870 Vapor-X - 2GB DDR5.

    Any help is appreciated,

    Thanks

    AMD Phenom II X2 550 - 3.1 Ghz Processor
    4 Gig DDR 2 RAM
    1 TB hard drive
    Sappire technology pure crossfire X 790GX mother board.

    I'd say 4870 Vapor-X; both cards are quite comparable performance and price wise.

    Yeah I was thinking the same. Just thought I'd run it by the forums first.

    Also hope you are running a 64bit OS. Otherwise you will be only getting 2gigs of physical ram out of your system.

    @snoopeasystreet:

    Is that the beta version? Or was it released already? Hows it perform for gaming?

    How big is your native resolution? A card with more video memory will perform better at higher resolutions.

    @torus: I run 1080P through HDMI

    @Jman522 http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/download.aspx It's the release candidate for 7. Kinda beta-ish but it runs perfect for me. It expires some time next year so keep a back up of your current OS for then. As far as gaming goes, it's pretty similar to vista but the OS itself uses less RAM so happy days :)
