Just put Windows 7 On my PC. and I am slightly confused as to why it shuts off randomly. It doesn't matter what I am going if it's idle for like 2 minutes it shuts down completely.
Check your power management settings, and make sure to install all of the proper drivers. Aside from that, there isn't really anything else that I know to tell you.
Like people have already posted it's probably your power management settings, it's the same with vista using default settings, when the computer is inactive for a period of time it puts itself to sleep.
